This will be the soundtrack to another mountain-biking video which will be released to Vimeo, like "Traffic", this time the subject is the 15 minute downhill from the top of Makara Peak in Wellington which I'll fast-mo into the 4 minutes and 7 seconds of this track…

Hi all, a very slight departure from my usual style this is an adaption of a piece I wrote 2-3 years ago called "Elton's Allegro" named after my wee dog. It's for strings only, some solo some section, and based around a simple repeating pattern of Am-Dm-G-C-F-Bdim-Em-Am (bar intro). I thought I'd call it "The Burning" because I reckon if you were playing this on Cello and Contrabass your hands would be burning at the end of it :o)

Btw. I figured out why Logic keeps crashing -- thinking I had memory issues, I looked into it. It turns out I was running in 32bit mode rather than 64bit which means my machine's memory was not all being utilised. Trap for young players I suppose :-)Tip - you can get Logic into 64bit mode by deselecting "Run in 32bit" from the GetInfo menu for the app.
