Revered London-based electronic DJ and producer Inigo Kennedy returns to his personal and inspirational Asymmetric Records imprint with the first release on the label in twelve years. 

2020 offered the techno pioneer an unanticipated amount of studio time to realign his focus into the highly acclaimed label, the result being the 2021 rebirth of Asymmetric, a comeback that is truly an honour to behold.

The EP opens with the self-titled ‘Recovery Mode’ in which Kennedy’s distinct style pours through, hypnotic melodies melting into heavy basslines, transporting the listener to the darkened rooms we all miss so intensely. ‘Ricochet’ follows, possessing equally booming basslines and twisted rolling rhythms, enveloping the listener into a powerful dancefloor rapture. Kennedy’s incomparable aesthetic is magnified in ‘Dusty Yarns’, the producer revelling in the opposite forces of dark and light, the listener suspended between determined kick drums and a celestial, gesticulating melody. 

It closes with ‘Captivation’; the composition majestically atmospheric and somewhat otherworldly, the track concluding the release in perfect fashion, leaving the listener pining for more.

With the Discovery collection, the label opens up to the listener both new and well-known names of producers working within the disco or near sound. In this release, you can hear 8 tracks from a light balearic and about trance motifs to a punchy hi-nrg sound.
5 tracks of the collection are presented by Belarusian artists - residents of the label Schmoltz and Leap, as well as ambitious newcomers of the label - Vuta, Maxim Samos and Zal.
On the other hand, 3 tracks from foreign artists - Romain FX is the head of Fauve Records, the author of a huge number of hits, Alberto Melloni is an Italian DJ and producer, co-owner of Raibano Records, and DJ Wedding is an uncompromising hitmaker, a signatory of the Spanish Italo Moderni. 
"Discovery will be the starting point in the release of compilations that will reveal the disco sound. The name of this series of compilations can be interpreted in different ways - and as the discovery of new names, acquaintance with a new sound, or in a simple way - "very disco".
We are glad that we are able to bring together a variety of producers who have already managed to win the hearts of thousands of listeners around the world, as well as rising stars with bright, but sometimes undeservedly unnoticed works.

Cormac brings the heat into the new year with a brand new EP on his Polari imprint, this time coming from Greek DJ/production duo, Boys‘ Shorts.
Boys’ Shorts is a Greek DJ/production duo based in London. The duo was founded by Vangelis (ex-LAGASTA) and Tareq.
The Crop Tops EP‘s title track is a lyrical ode to queer dancefloor longing and is already proving to be a much requested hit.‘Days Without You‘ and ‘Nostalgia‘ compliment each other with a laidback emotional warmth, whilst ‘In The City‘ draws on their rave culture roots. The EP displays an expansive and clever musical world. Cormac on the EP:
Boys‘ Shorts are two talented greek queers, whose music I've been playing for the last few years. I love their use of lyrics , their nods to rave and 90s music culture. It's truly a great thing to showcase them at their pop sensibility finest with the Crop Tops EP. All of these tracks have been heavily ID requested in my sets the last year.
Forthcoming EP Crop Tops is due to be released digitally, 17th of February.

“Run it Back” is a simple and dry tune, has those big cutting edge sounds typical of the early 2000 80's contaminated electro.. perfect for your starting set or in recreating that unique atmosphere.
On the A side follows “Half Way Trough”, an effortlessly driving tech-acid house tune, strangely compelling, with a timeless feeling.. looking like an essential weapon for any dancefloor.
B side starts with the spicy electro-disco tune “Over The Machines” epic and functional at the same time with evocative arpeggios and a mechanical vocodered speach.
The Ep ends with the cyberfunk stomper "Revolution" , a twisted electro funk groover in typical Minimono vein.
Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci celebrate this 50th.5 release on Bosconi in great style, remodernising the sound that they used to like when they first met in the early 2000, under the influence of those Berlin labels like Areal, Sender, Festplatten, Funkhaus, Beautycase, Lasergun, Gigolo.. and all of those labels who trademarked the sound of those unforgettable Berlin days.

After the great success of Italo Brutalo ́s debutalbum „Heartware“ it was quite obvious to let some of the hottest artists around rework some of the songs. 

Kafkactrl, who released some great EPs on Vortex Trax took „You are welcome“ to another – his very own dimension. While the original is quite straight his remix is dominated by electro beats paired with his stunning micro editing. 

„Reach Horizon“ has been remixed by CYRK, who are without any doubts one of the best live acts these days. 

Mufti from Mexico made a very dancefloor-ish remix out of „Dream Machine“, which will be heard at festivals this summer for sure. 

None other than one of the two Slow Motion Label heads, Fabrizio Mammarella, made a great dancefloor version of „Into a sampler“. 

South Korean ́s Shubostar created a great cosmic disco remix of „Heat of the Knight“, that can be played any time in a cool DJ set. 

Last but not least Italo Brutalo ́s longterm friend Kris Menace, who is out of the remixing business and denied requests from the biggest players the past years, turned „Into a Sampler“ into a powerful bass-in- your-face version. 

On top of that all Bungalo Disco created very special analog remixed videos of the original videos to complete the audio-visual remix concept of Heartware.

It was etched into the old stone, a framework for the perfect self. At least so that they had thought way back then, at the beginning. The sketches must have been there for thousands of years, all that was left of a people and a time very different to their own.

They were deep underground, it had taken several weeks to excavate this far and the strain and toll it had taken on their physical wellbeing was severe.

Now, as they looked at the magnificent old etchings and drawings. They realised that some sort of lifetime ago, there were people building a bodymap, the very core of what they would become in the now.

Mark E is perhaps one of the most underrated producers out there. For many years he has released a steady stream of music which has consistently made its way in to the bags and sets of a broad variety of DJ's. His versatility is unique, his music able to sit at home amidst a variety of contexts and settings.

This latest EP on Delusions of Grandeur is a brilliant showcase of his penchant for deep, progressive House music.

The birds spoke their own majestic language amongst the tall, tall trees. They were hidden away out of sight between the green shrubbery and the dusty leaves. Within the greenhouse they could not be disturbed by forces beyond the glass, no predator or villain was here to catch them up there amongst the blossoming swamp. The noise echoed in the chamber of light, the noise from outside was gone, wiped away by the silent tomb of the isolated space. 

Tambo's House have found a home on Vulcan Venti as the label prepares to release a four track EP packed with rhythmic influences from the East.

After two solo releases on Lovefinger’s ESP Insitute, and two more 12” as Greenvision (his collaborative project with Trent) Juan Ramos graces Berlin’s Cocktail d’Amore Music with a new outstanding EP.
“Incorporeality” and “Liquid Sky Drone” are both vibrant, hallucinating, trance inducing tracks. Full-on sonic layering and unexpected drum patterns compose these two bangers. Multidimensional is the right term to describe Ramos’ music. His futuristic approach, yet full of references from the past, is gaining a strong reputation within the contemporary electronic scene.
Melbourne-Berlin based Kris Baha is on remix duties. “Liquid Sky Drone” becomes an industrial ballad - cinematic and romantic, at the same time bouncing and synthetic.
