Following on from Melodic Motion, Martin Matiske returns to Bordello A Parigi with a track that first appeared over a decade ago. Released on his first album on Stilleben, “Dimension Phantasy” has been dusted down and given a new lease of life. This extended version bubbles with the same energy as the original. Steady kicks give way to scaling chords as a racing piece of future gazing brilliance takes hold. Melodies are addictive, yet cold, with a common ground between disco and electro being forged. Sharing the 12” real estate are two good friends, each offering their own remix. Captain Mustache is a musician who can turn his hand to any style. Here the French producer remains true to the Matiske’s version, adding layers of warmth while maintaining the Springtime coolness of beats and harmonies. The flip is given over to Play Paul, a trailblazing figure in electronics. BPMs are reduced as sweetened lines take flight in the “Oh Lord! Remix”. Arpeggiators rumble before bold keys and heartfelt vocals enter in this emotive reinterpretation. The finale strips back lyrics to focus on those succulent synthesizer sounds. A celebration of past, present and future on one very special release

Dylan Hayes' album debut (LP), We Don’t Own, We Create, released on Futurepast, is a sonic trip balancing club functionality with experimentation. The two-discs project is a bold statement of artistic intent—where minimalism, industrial textures, and introspective loopy moods collide.
As the result of 8 years of research and experimentation, We Don’t Own, We Create is an electronic sci-fi odyssey, unfolding across eight tracks balancing structure with unpredictability. Co-produced and mixed by Davy Vandegaer, this album is also the story of a friendship rooted in a shared vision—crafting a signature ‘futurepast’ sound where old-school techno aesthetics meet fresh, yet edgy, sonic treatments.
The first disc unfolds like a waking dream. My Ikigai sets the tone with pulsating, introspective club energy, blending loopy synths and a growling bass. Plastic World plunges into eerie depths, weaving spectral vocals and fragmented rhythms. Silent Reverie in To Memory drifts through textured atmospheres and layered percussive echoes. Remind Me Ridley twists hypnotic techno into a dense, mantra-like piece—its reverbs and delays build an intensity conjuring into a foggy, shifting auditive illusion.
The second disc marks the awakening, shaking off the haze with Beautiful Struggle, where abrasive loops, industrial bass surges, and dissonant synth layers build tension. Echoes of Fate condenses the album's ethos, unleashing pulsating stabs and humming rhythms that slice through the mix with razor-sharp precision. The eponymous We Don’t Own, We Create is an electronic ode to the creative process, where haunting vocal loops weave through deep, trippy synth lines, blurring the boundaries between organic and synthetic. Closing on Mizze, the journey dissolves into pure introspection, fading into the ether.

BOM’s Àṣẹ, unveiled via dancefloor oracle Paper Recordings in vinyl and digital formats, is a nine-track invocation of sonic Àṣẹ – the Yorùbá force that turns sound into spellwork. Àṣẹ is a dazzling, shapeshifting beast: gqom’s metallic stutter locks horns with shangaan electro’s lightning-footed chaos, while afrotech’s interstellar throb melts into Balearic honey and dub’s smoke-ringed depths. House music’s soul meets breakbeat’s clandestine rebellion, all wrapped in a psychedelic Yorùbá futurism that crackles like sacred voltage. This isn’t just an album – it’s a possession ritual, demanding hips twist, shoulders shimmy, and spirits answer.

And then – “Funk, Jive And Break” lives up to its name. A riotous three-act play in one track, it slingshots from funk’s sweat-slicked basslines to jive’s cocky, swinging swagger before detonating into breakbeat’s guerrilla warfare. The rhythm section operates like a possessed clockwork – all precision and wild abandon – while synth stabs and vocal chops spiral like a Masquerade dancer mid-possession. It’s the album’s sly, shapeshifting heart: proof that BOM’s magic lies in turning chaos into ceremony, and ceremony into a command to move.

PREMIERE : Myriad. - Have No Regrets

Survivor ~ Track 8 ~ Overloading

A catastrophic system failure forces immediate action. Red lights flash across the cabin. Alarms scream. The protagonist moves with deliberate precision under extreme pressure, his hands flying across emergency protocols.

This sequence called for something different than hectic chaos. I wanted controlled intensity - almost like a thriller. I thought of the TV show Silo as a reference point: that sense of mounting pressure contained within precise, deliberate action.

The first half of the cue is restrained: long sustained notes hover over a subdued but driving beat. The tension is coiled, controlled. The camera work matches this - measured cuts between his face and his hands as he methodically works through the crisis.

But as the situation escalates and becomes more hectic, the music transforms. Fast string ostinatos begin to build, layering on top of each other. Taikos gradually increase in intensity, their thunderous hits punctuating each critical decision point. Status displays show failures escalating toward catastrophe.

Finally - success. The systems stabilize. But rather than release into relief, the cue explodes into a defiant, intense rendition of the Protagonist Theme. Purpose begins to crystallize in that moment - this is just the beginning.
