Following their debut album ‘Visions Of Ultraflex’, the Norwegian-Icelandic electro-duo serves up a mouthwatering extended remix 12" with two of Norways most distinctively renowned underground producers and DJs. Telephones twists ‘Work Out Tonight’ into a bubbly Balearic Pop block-party, fusing the vibe of NYC Peech Boys, Quincy Jones' 80s productions and Larry Levan's infamous take on Nami Shimada/Soichi Terada, all rounded off with a decadent beatless ambient acid outro mix. On the flip, the norse force that is DJ Sotofett, heavy-handedly rubs ‘Secret Lover’ into an uncompromising chunk of Cosmic Electro, with growling vocoders, rugged drums and stratospheric synths, progressively evolving into a tripped out dub-disco electro-mutant. Enchantment is the name of number thirteen on Funnuvojere Records. It comes from Eamon Harkin, the Brooklyn-based Irish producer, DJ and label owner, known for founding long standing New York parties Mister Saturday Night & Mister Sunday. These parties have given birth to Nowadays, a permanent club space fast becoming a renowned New York institution. Harkin’s Mister Saturday Night Records has been a guarantee of quality music over the past decade and his productions have appeared on respected labels all over the world.
On Massimiliano Pagliara's label, Harkin's Storytelling EP is a four-track exploration of sonic sensations, marked by a minimalistic approach and a maximalist sound design. A bold bass line, distorted industrial pads and bouncy synths are the materials with which the opening track Reactance is built - a classic banger for sweaty late night dance floors.  Multiple string sequences jostle effortlessly in Dolphins, a Detroit-inspired track that has us floating in oceans deep.
Lead single Enchantment is an 8 bit experimentation of house music with electro - euphoric, direct and beautifully harmonious. Title track Storytelling resounds as a polyrhythmic funk track, tinged with romantic melodies and alien pads. It closes this EP, elegantly highlighting the breadth and subtlety of Harkin’s musical knowledge and production skills.

Tombolo Rumble Vol I. is here! The first volume of a list of selected releases by different artists from around the globe. Proud to be presenting four tracks by four upcoming and established legends on the panorama of electronic music: Unknown Mobile, DJ Dog, Poly Chain and Abdul Raeva.

DJ Dog, the fun AKA of DJ Fett Burger, the Norwegian legend based in Berlin founder of projects such as Sex Tags Mania or Trushmix. He comes with a downtempo, jumpy track, with very fun percussions and synths that will make you feel as if you are walking on Mars.

Queer DJ born and raised in Nottingham but is now based in Manchester. He was first educated in underground music culture through the legendary Nottingham night Wigflex (@wigflex) and learned the importance of our community through attending various (queer) nights at The White Hotel. 

This mix is inspired by those nights, so Sebastien wanted to keep it club-focused. Here is a collection of some of my favourite tunes, some recent, some less recent, and some from before he was even born. As well as tracks from some of his favourite labels like @x-kalay, @common-ancestors, and @warningberlin. Given how much he enjoys these tunes, Sebastien really wanted to let the tracks speak for themselves.

Another world lay beneath the dark, murky waters; one unseen by human eyes and untouched by human hands. Though the surface remained placid and still, below there was much more at play. Strange creatures and amphibious beings lurked and whispered in strange tongues amongst the sea grass that cast its leaves high overhead, viciously swaying as one when the current passed through. It was clear that there were cunning plans being masterminded down here, ones that could overthrow everything on solid ground...

Los Pulpitos is the brainchild of Dirk Leyers from Africaine 808 and Felipe Salmón of Dengue Dengue Dengue fame. Born in the depths of the pandemic, the two talented friends and "tentacle tech" originators fuse their harmonic love of polyrhythmic percussion, dub-wise vibrations and traditional Candomblé and Cumbia rhythms on this 12" for Terra Magica Records. But that's not all, within these bubbling creations there's so many more influences at play: a little bit of psychedelia, a peppering of Ragga and breaks as well as some dubstep and UK bass wobble, to rattle off a few - it's music to move your body and soothe your mind.
