The second track is produced by the talented Filipino artist Saint Guel. An artist to keep an eye on him. 
Miguel Santiago aka Saint Guel basks in dance music — his being distinctly warm and clean-cut. The Filipino DJ/producer started behind the decks at 15 and tinkered with personal production two years after. Since 
then, he’s carefully carving his corner: an altogether irresistibly groovy one. Across his recent releases, “Still Life” (More Rice Records / Thailand) and “Over and Over / For The Floor” (Transit Records / Philippines) are easily breaking through as foreseeable dance floor bangers post-pandemic. Perhaps it’s him soaking up the Manila nightlife, his frequent pilgrimage across international festivals or his inherent taste and thirst for warbling world. Whatever it is, it’s looking like everyone is here for it. 

For FuFu Records, He produced a beautifully arranged over eight minutes, Saint Guel’s ‘Caught Up’ is pure rhythmic bliss. The crisp drums and bassline, steady and unyielding, coax you into motion. The ethereal vocals 
sit perfectly over the instrumental, cutting through the entire song. Altogether, you start feeling untethered by gravity, and, for a moment, feel like you’ll just float off.”

The volume 2 will be out on June 16th with 8 artists from 7 different asian countries.

With artists coming from Philippines, India, South Korea, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Singapore & China, ‘88 - Double Happiness’ features artists such as Fzpz, Saint Guel, Mignon, Joi Lan, Rudoh, Zokkuma, Temple Rat & Dj Doggy. 
Each artist brought their own flavour to the compilation with their unique sounds and dance-worthy beats.

In 2021, FuFu Records has established a partnership with the NGO: One Tree Planted (onetreeplanted.org/collections/asia) 80% of the sales will go to one of the Asian’s projects of the NGO to help support the reforestation and rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species. 

The goal is to reach a minimum of 880 trees planted for the year.

Sometimes, two worlds collide and result in an utterly different and beautiful universe. That is exactly what happened with the brand-new parcel, coming soon on digital and vinyl formats, from the rising & shining Paris-based label Outdom: BOOH, hailing from France, and Nizar Sarakbi, from Austria, share an interesting blend of influences and references through their “Split EP”. Equally divided: Two tracks each, showcasing the talent and creativity of the young producers.

With a sonority defined in the official PR text as “vintage in its core and alien in its soul”, Nizar Sarakbi has some hot stuff published on Sex Tapes From Mars, Tancido, Mindhelmet, and Vienna Worldwide, to name a few.

“Black Forest Dub”, premiered here, is a piece that can only be defined as mind-blowing! End of the review.

Nah, let’s keep going for a few words longer: What a tune! This should have been released twenty years ago when a young dinosaur had alpine energy and fit knees. It’s like Nizar teamed up with a bunch of old-school Jazz scholars and broadened the result of the jam session with extra percussive elements and an acid gait. Kudos!

Following on from the success of the debut release, Miditrip delivers its second release with the return of Marlò alongside fellow label co-founder Mr. Snare.
Originally hailing from Italy and now residing in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul, Marlò is a producer, DJ, radio show host and lover of underground sounds in the sphere of Techno, Disco, House and beyond. January saw Marlò mark a milestone in her career with the launch of Miditrip alongside Salih Topuz, notably known under his producer name Mr. Snare who also offers up his own productions on this split EP for the imprint’s second release. The aptly titled ‘Intertwined’ EP see Marlò and Mr. Snare combining their styles which incorporating a heavy influence from early rave music with a contemporary twist.
Marlò leads on the A-side with the breaks, organ and raw stab led club workout ‘Nothing Else’, followed by ‘Riser’, employing euphoric piano lines, crisp drums, ethereal breathy pad lines, bubbling arpeggios and hypnotic processed voices.
Mr. Snare’s cuts make up the B-side, leading with ‘Biting Through’, a five and a half minute excursion through amen breaks, a choppy saw wave bass groove, resonant synth licks and classic rave stabs throughout. ‘Sawdust’ then concludes the release with dubbed out chords, vocal cuts, a bouncy bass groove and heavily swung rhythm section.
