AEON is kicking off 2023 with a well-known family member returning to the camp: Vhyce. His first songs on the label, released in 2021, sky-rocketed his career. After one EP and several tracks being released on our “Lost Tapes & Versus” compilation, he’s back with a stunning 4- tracker EP named Suspension of Disbelief.

Vhyce, known for his tracks to create subtle tension and tell stories with no words, has developed his sound a bit further with this EP; though without losing his remark. “The titles“, Vicente explains, “are respectively referring to the structural lateralization of the brain. The feeling of closure and the avoidance of logic in examining something impossible.”

Asymmetric Mind Shift is a song full of summer feel, which could be well needed in the rainy, snowy and cold days of winter. More housey than what we might be use to, but not less catchy this tune comes along, unfolding in a sparkling break with a classic M1 Piano- riff.

Epilogue is most probably the essence of how we would define Vhyce’ sound. Indie dance meets Roland Synths with a touch of progressive. This time, as a cherry on the cake, the main melody is played by an E-guitar.

Suspension of Disbelief and its beat-less version Out of Disbelief are mixing organic and synthetic sounds, trying to evoke suspense. A hymn-like chord theme, mystic vocals and pad- sounds guide this track to become a perfect one for a set ending the night while the sun comes up.

PREMIERE - Sahar - Dust (Dominik Marz Remix) (Paradiso records)

Pinorama starts this 2023 with Kielmannsegge’s latest remix delivery. A style cocktail ranging from nervous beats to mind-bending textures by some of the most talented and interesting Spanish producers.

We begin the trip with a dancefloor gem by Alvaro Cabana, a renowned producer from Madrid and head of the label Rotten City. 

As expected being a long-time friend of Feinstoff and surely one of the most shining personalities in the local scene, Cabana's remix for "Kingdom" is a bouncing dark funk bomb that explodes at the end with a final style twist, diving into the cosmic realm.

Mexican duo Sierra Madre is thrilled to unveil their first EP, 'Cumbres'. The collaboration project of producers Mijo and Colossio, offers a unique blend of techno and indie dance, influenced by the stories of Monterrey City, Mexico. The release includes a collaboration with Moisees and a remix by Esprit Divers.
Inspired by the tragic events that took place in 'Cumbres' neighborhood, the EP opens with the title track, a dark, hypnotic, and evocative cut. It is followed by 'Cadereyta,' the name of the prison where the perpetrator of the Cumbres murders serves his sentence. A cut featuring distorted synthesizers and a driving drumbeat.
Next is 'Diego,' the track in collaboration with Moisees, a sinister, powerful, and gummy jam. To close the release, Esprit Divers' 'Cumbres' remix provides a powerful and introspective cut, taking listeners on a journey of groovy self-discovery.

Operating from sundered soils, Eftersom is a triangle formed between Ravage Sentimental, close collaborator Jérôme Darmois, and Chris Vella aka Moderne Romance. The term “Eftersom” is used as a nod to their cross-border bond, a bond galvanized by a simple love of music, unwavering creative drive, and a fair collection of imperfect studio gear.

With their LP “Lie” on Paradise Children Records lined up for the second half of 2023, here the trio present “Tourne Tourne”, a precursor to the project which comes coloured with remixes made with love by Niv Ast, Mufti, Radial Gaze, and Ravage Sentimental herself. Radial Gaze offers up two unique takes: a ‘Pop’ and an ‘Indie’ version, by the way. The prolific Russian duo, formed by skilled producers Andrey and Stas, spared no efforts to deliver such insightful interpretations. 

Premiered here, their 'Pop' remix lays pellucid twinkles over tight, sharp rhythms, bringing the energetic original to a journey through the low-BPM realm wrapped with a Synthpop crust and a sober but upbeat gait.

Petrvs is part of the duo Supertubos (full hardware live project) since 2017 and founder of Kasa Obake Records, a recent label focused mainly on hardware production since 2023.
