Founded by Denis Yurgens



Velmondo is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist producer and Barcelona based DJ Arnau Obiols. His debut EP 'Moongazing' appeared on Hivern Discs iin 2019 drawing inspiration from early forms of electronic music from the 70s, wether it is dub, krautrock, industrial, ambient, post-punk, to conjure enigmatic atmospheres through raw and primitive sounds.In January 2020 he released the EP 'Mad Honey' along the Swedish duo MLiR, on Prins Thomas' label Internasjonal, gaining support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Red Axes or Roman Flügel, amongst others. Distilling a unique approach to acid, trance and tribal influences, the esoteric techno single 'Infinity' arrived in June 2020 through Nitsa Traxx, including a remix by Marving & Guy on the flipside.
Velmondo also shares a project with John Talabot called Mioclono that debuted with the track 'Center of Things' in the Hivern Discs compilation 'Fragments'.

With his third album, The Big Swim, due out in December 2022 on Bongo Joe records, Augenwasser ventures once again into the paths of synth wave exploration with a pop feel. Still laced with the folk textures of his early days, he nevertheless develops a dance approach that can at times be akin to melancholic drone. His music takes you to an imaginary, dark club, lulled by a haunting rhythm, surrounded by the fumes of the night, where it is possible to indulge in that quiet voice that has already confessed that it is too late but will never stop repeating its soft, cold poetry. "You'll realize one sad morning / some things change without a warning. In the same way that BG team realize as a child that things are bigger than they seem, so Bongo Joe discover the music of Augenwasser. A simple and disturbing melody, beautiful and sincere, declined to excess, which grows with each track, as a stream turns into a lake, a music that builds a world of broken papers and enchanted ideas.

Now being in the year 2023, after a whole marathon of celebrations, some calmer and slower tunes are on high demand for the tired minds and bodies. Only two words for it  - System Olympia. This very mix premiered today on NTS Radio and is now available here as well.

Francesca has an iconic personality, building a sonic world inspired by erotic literature and romance. Similar combinations can be found in this mix as well - calm, ear warming melodies, gritty drums, vocals and instrumentals. When contacting the artists, our team asks them to imagine a vehicle of any kind in which they would feel best listening to their own personal music selections / playlists or even their past sets. 

System Olympia said: "I've been in Southern Italy for the past week and was extremely fascinated by the drives around the coast near Naples. Sunshine, warm weather, incredible landscapes and a very deep funk/blues/soundtrack history. So I imagined myself driving an amazing vintage Italian car around these roads - and recorded the soundtrack for it.” And the chosen model was the iconic 1976 Maserati Merak, powered by a 3.0L V6 engine, exceptional, because of the second row of seats - a very unusual thing for mid-engined cars of that time.

Rising out of the white-hot scene that is Lithuania's Opium, Siaubas are a Vilnius-based trio with a sound that is deeply influenced by musical mentors Manfredas & V. With a track on the forthcoming Opium compilation, scorching edits on CULTED and Power Cuts, as well as a killer remix for Drugface, set for release this spring, these young producers are likely to become fixtures on the underground Euro-chug scene for years to come. We were fortunate enough to host them in Berlin after their appearance at Opium's massive takeover of Wilde Renate.

As part of Moscow based production duo Odopt, Grisha Nelyubin first surfaced in 2016 on Born Free Records with a scuzzy set of box jams entitled Sickert Art Bartel. For record number two, Odopt upped their game with a 12″ for Berlin’s Discos Capablanca. Belgrade is a record guaranteed to keep discerning dancers on their toes – check out the haunted techno-disco of Croque Trans Croque below. 
Nelyubin also had his own release on I’m a Cliché’s Edit Service serie under the Blind Rape moniker.
As a DJ, he keeps the emphasis on mystique, conjuring a spell of itchy techno-disco, ill tempered post-punk and fuggy electronics.
