Dark Entries flashes back to the grimy streets of New York City circa 1982 to bring us an unreleased album from cult outfit Ike Yard. Comprised of Stuart Argabright, Michael Diekmann, Kenneth Compton, and Fred Szymanski, Ike Yard sits between the sinewy proto-body music of the Neue Deutsche Welle and the shattered grooves of their No Wave peers in New York. The band’s initial run was short but blinding. They released an EP for Les Disques du Crépuscule in 1981, which was followed by their legendary self-titled LP for Factory in 1982. They disbanded within a year, frustrated by the slow pace at which the industry was able to release their increasingly challenging music. 1982 features 10 tracks which likely would have become the band’s second LP - only four of these songs have previously seen release on 2006’s 1980-82 Collected via Acute Records. Following the release of Ike Yard, they continued down their tortured path of hybrid electro-acoustic music with an arsenal of now-classic analog instruments, including the Korg MS-20 and the Roland TR-808. Skittering rhythms teeter on the verge of collapse while seasick synth warbles threaten to push us overboard. Electronic washes devolve into waves of feedback. Sneering basslines threaten dancers to move, but how can the body obey? This is dangerous music, gliding along the brink. The album features a live photo of the band by Makoto Iida and includes an insert with liner notes from Stuart Argabright. 1982 is essential for fans of post-punk and caustic electronics from Liaisons Dangereuses to Beau Wanzer.

Involved in this 4 tracker mini-compilation are the Greek dj/producer DimDj, the Berlin-based Italian producer and part of Sons Of Traders, TANS, the Portugal-based Brazilian Unrealistic Expectations label owner Nothing Was There, and the ALLEY VERSION’s brothers FLML.

For the fourth release of its catalog, e s p e r p e n t o draws inspiration from the Tanzerloch, an ancient chasm steeped in charm and mystery nestled within the Val d'Assa (Italy).
According to Cimbrian folklore, witches' gatherings were held in the depths of this abyss with their wild dances and magical rites.
Through a 12-track split Ep, Brenko and the brand-new project "eoobe" by the Amsterdam-based duo Elina Tapio and Marco Segato, delve into a gorge of sounds that transcend time, tribal reminiscences, frenetic percussive rhythms, and indistinct voices.

Disposable Time is a crew by Alice in Flames and FAQ from Leipzig/Germany. They host a bi-monthly Radio Show on Callshop Radio, organise a bi-monthly Party and run a unregular Mix Series. Musicwise they are focused on electro and wavey, machinic beat structures and synths.

FAQ
One half of Disposable Time, his musical interests lie in all sounds and experiments coming from analogue machines, synths and other instruments. From electro to slow and heavy gritters to all sorts wavey and back, he is more and more appreciating the blurring of genre boundaries as long as it feels weirdly sad or angrily weird.

Dissemblance
Hailing from Paris/France, the sound of Dissemblance murkes between old synths, drum machines and dreamlike structures all held together by her expressive vocals. Her productions on Mannequin, L.I.E.S. or Yarrow Ballett (to name a few) are speaking for themselves all in their own gloomy language which became Dissemblances signature sound. Also in her mixes you can get into a boundaryless journey of cold wave, acidic pop, techno excursions and proto-industrial.

Double Geography is Duncan Thornley, one half of Weird Weather who have released on Emotional Response, Going Good and their own Whip+Lash imprint, exploring sometimes hypnotic, sometimes abstract experimental tech tronica. Double Geography, however, takes us deep into the undergrowth, into the world of plants. With tracks named after a variety of flora the music could loosely be described as laidback ‘balearica'. However, where much of that genre (if it can even be called a genre) has spawned so much insipid, mediocre coffee table ‘lounge music', The Indoor Gardener has retained that crucial element of tripped out psychedelia that transports us just that little bit higher. The music feels warm, melodic, emotive.....but listen closely and underneath the surface is a complex depth where you'll find a lot more is going on and it gives the whole piece of work an edginess undeniably synthetic in nature. Like an organic, analogue paradise imagined through the mind of an artificial intelligence. The atmosph
eres created being less a hazy "dreaminess" than a dreamlike cinematic soundtrack to a mystical reality.
Technical wizardry is also very much apparent. Thornley's day job as an audio engineer has paid off well here. The unique character of many of the sounds we're hearing seem as rich, complex and diverse as the natural world that inspired their creation. His mastery of the equipment at his fingertips is obvious.
