Tim Perera is the founder and resident DJ of Gibraltar-based club night Balafonica, having booked and played alongside artists such as Telephones, Felix Dickinson, Pete Herbert, Deep88, and more recently renowned locally for genre-spanning all night long solo and back to back sets with friends.

A few words about the mix: "This was recorded in the midst of lockdown with all summer travel and party plans looking less and less likely, and the yearning for an escape to the Dalmatian coast, Tisno and a night under the starts at Barbarellas growing stronger. A message across the Mediterranean from Gibraltar to Split. Is it Adriatic?"

I created this mix inspired by my inner world at the moment. Positive and challenging. A deep and watery New Moon mix, to celebrate the natural cycles of life. A time to harness our emotions. Letting any come through with ease. Diving deep, traveling to our underworld, exploring. Standing still in any momentum. 

We reveal the intense emotions, and once we gain knowledge of them, we bring it into the light. Letting anything that we’ve been holding in, come out to the surface. Celebrating the hard and the beautiful, and all variations in between.
