Underground hero Bill Converse returns to Dark Entries with Take Parts, perhaps his most muscular and floorfocused work to date. Converse has honed his analog craft since the early days of the Midwest rave scene, absorbing lessons from luminaries like Claude Young and Traxx. His skill as a producer has been established with releases on labels such as Dark Entries, Fit Sound, and Obsolete Futures, and his prowess as a DJ has been witnessed on floors the world over. On Take Parts, Converse peels away the layers of acidic gauze that have characterized much of his work, revealing his sharp grasp of dancefloor dynamics and DJ functionality. While the 808’s, 909’s, and 303’s are on full display, Converse does not indulge in retro-fetishism; he channels the future forward impulse of the originary rave ethos. Tracks like “Stroke” and “What You Have” pit seasick chords and analog squelch atop funky but unsettling loops. The flurry of 808 snares on “Measurement (Of What?)” nods towards both footwork and jungle, but feels ultimately planted in a world of Converse’s own. With the acid-electro masterpiece “Take Apart”, Converse implores us to both join him in this new world and reconfigure the one we’re living in now. The 6-tracks on Take Parts present a new focus for Converse, and will excite DJ’s and thrill dancers.

JENTLEMEN, a US-based DJ and producer dedicated to the classical and contemporary rave sounds as well as the more eclectic. She refined her DJ skills in New York and The Netherlands, where she held a residency at Amsterdam’s Red Light Radio. Jentlemen has releases on Hunger!, Italo Moderni, Lo Fidelity, and forthcoming on New York Haunted.

Ruta Genyte has been a figurehead of the underground scene for years. This killer selector has serious class, takes bold risks, and is bound to ruffle some feathers with her sets. As a part of  Pinkman Records crew, an affiliate of WORM, Roodkapje and now, POING, Genyten's mark on Rotterdam is undeniable. From Lithuania by way of warehouse raves in London, her style combines EBM, electro, industrial and avant-garde in a manner that is futuristic and surprising as much as it can be counted on as being an instant classic. Acidic Male has an interest in industrial sounds, hypnotic drum patterns and experimental vocals. Having her performer name as a revenge title, she searches to “other” herself into the position of a poetic perpetrator. Her sounds have been described as “elegant industrial”, yet in her selections she attempts to showcase her love for genre-wide experimentalism. For Current Moon Phase she curated a few current uptempo electronic favourites with a few 80’s tape digs and more.

Ladislav Zensor (Exhausted Modern, Oblaka) is a Czech musician and sound designer. His interest in music dates back to the early 2000s when he fell under the spell of illegal rave parties during their golden age in the Czech Republic. After a number of years experimenting with DJing, music production, and street art, his primary focus shifted to music in 2007. In 2011, he spearheaded the Endless Illusion record label, releasing music from underground artists based in the Czech Republic and beyond, putting on regular events, and gaining international recognition. After a decade in existence, he brought the label to a timely close in 2021 and joined forces with the new LTE records project. Ladislav is a prolific producer, releasing music on the likes of Brokntoys and Veyl, has presented his live set at Lunchmeat festival and in countries across Europe, and is a resident of Ankali, Prague’s reigning night club for electronic music. Also known as Layup, Exhausted Modern, and Oblaka, Ladislav has used different monikers to explore and transform his style of production throughout his music career. He’s now trying his hand at commercial and theatrical work, and is collaborating with the contemporary dance group 420PEOPLE.
