Paula Vargas a.k.a. PV5000 is a well-known figure in Porto Alegre's nightlife, the southernmost state capital in Brazil. DJ, producer and exponent name in the cultural field, PV is a confirmed presence at the best front stages and turned the track experience into her best weapon. Involved in the night scene of the city for many years, she is an open format DJ since the beginning of the 2010s, and from 2015 onwards she is raising the hell on the electronic scene. The ease with which she travels through House combined with her intense mixing and wide repertoire made the path easy. Today, she mixes House with Breaks, Electro and Juke, in a super contemporary research. Having kilometers of touring made her one of the most interesting DJs of PoA's new breed. In 2018, along with other important names of the capital scene, she created Greta, a collective composed only by women, which had a national appreciation. Later, she created TTTTT, intending to tension the scene on the LGBTQI+ topic. Her cultural activism and her talent as a DJ made her move around booths throughout Brazil, in Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Espírito Santo, building bridges between cities and making lots of people dance.

Anti-histrionic in nature while simultaneously fusing form and function, "deco" (LI$023) comes forward as a time capsule, preserving the current uncertainty, hesitation and burning desire; standing by, ready to be summoned upon at will. 
The encroaching emotions are easily overpowering, hence its grounding and genre-avoiding properties, which soothe and excite all at once. cavernous yet warming, "deco" fulfills the role perfectly and spans over 9 recordings, including the likes of Bud Brain, Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Ice_Eyes, M.James, Nahash, Nimesay, Odete, Yvng Kik00 and ABADIR.

Sid Talukdar, a Canadian electroacoustic composer and sound artist living in Berlin. He is also the host of Sleep Hygiene, a monthly show on Etikett Radio which presents a collage of music, field recordings, found sounds, spoken word, guided meditation, and anything else to help calm the mind. His mix for Mutant Radio is a reflection and antidote for these troubling times. Headphones recommended.
