An 11 track compilation featuring new and original music from Noods residents and associates, showcasing artists both from our home in Bristol and across the world.

Splint consolidates its artists disparate influences into a coherent sound, a series of swampy, low tempo workouts, filled with echo drenched vocals, sludgy drums and irregular grooves that unspool gradually rewarding repeated listens.

This compilation features an entirely new cast of contributors, including Barcelona duo Dame Area, Bristol based sound artist EBU, and Avon Terror Corps affiliate Jackson Veil Panther.

Since 2014, Kid From Amazon has been sharing his immersive soundscapes in the nightlife scene of the state of Pará, in the North of Brazil, blending organic sounds with synthetic elements and expressing himself through DJ sets, personal productions as well as through original scores for runways and short movies. He played at several festivals throughout the country, such as Voodoohop’s 10 years birthday in Heliodora, São Paulo’s radio Virus and Veneno, as well as the A-mig platform. He contributed to releases on Unsbeat (Nitéroi), Tormenta (São Paulo) and Serever plus the (M)ondes Sonores podcast series by Curuba. Recently, he worked with Festival Amazônia Mapping and Vogue Brasil.

Someone Spatial is a new alias for a well known DJ in Murcia, Spain. He started playing music in 2005, during this time he has been a resident in Bar Ocio and Moss Club, as well as played in different clubs around Spain. His sets of underground electronic music touch on different styles; depending on the moment they can be slow, techno, EBM, industrial, dark, cosmic or disco. Currently, he is part of the collective who organizes the parties Facción Obscura (slow mental music) and Obscure Selectors (party hard vibe).

Mix #113 – Someone Spatial

This month’s show continues our exploration of electronic music with a very special guest. Carlos Martín aka Mynationshit is an artist of serious calibre. Based in Almería, this synth sorcerer has his own unique sound that combines a cold wave cleanness with more emotive elements. With his Waste Editions label, this talented musician has been a favourite here at WE FORFEIT for many years now and we’re more than delighted to have him as our first ever guest mix.

Before Carlos’ selection, Robbie is on hand with a range of records that showcase Mynationshit’s releases, his label as well as tracks that reflect both his sound and that of his mix. Expect tracks that span more than twenty years with fragile compositions and gentle synthwork countered by computer rhythms and sharper sounds.

The Waste Editions boss traverses a spread of styles in his mix. Spanish labels feature heavily with homegrown labels including Artificial Intelligence, Cold Beat Records, Frigio, Factor City and Noise to Meet You.
