“The idea of the mix is conceptual  - to show where the sound goes now. From atonal to tonal then back  to atonal and now whats most interesting when a lot of producers started to change from Western tuning of twelwe equal intervals per octave to microtonal - intervals smaller than a semitone, also called “microintervals”. Very interesting aswell symbiosis between  Artificial Intelligence and human mind, some tracks of this mix are them. Some contemporary electronic music  now can be so accurate, clean and have so bright timbres.
The future of sound, looks very promising. Very big influence aswell from queer scene. Hope you will enjoy this mix as I enjoyed.

La Serpiente is the new project by Venice based producer and live performer Marco Segato, co-founder of Rete Neurale Milano E.S.T. and Empty Signal Transmission series curator.

He’s been a Red Bull Music Academy alumnus in 2016 in Montréal (Canada) and graduated in Audio Production at SAE Institute Milan in 2017.

Marco released his first track with the new moniker on Random Numbers and he just contributed to ‘MAKA: The Alkisah Rework Divisi Italia’ remixing a track by Indonesian duo Senyawa.

He recently released a cassette tape album on Sons Of Traders Records as Narvalos - a duo project with Alessio Costantino aka Askmeaboutdogs.

To close out 2022, Voluminous Arts founder and host of this monthly show Gavilán Rayna Russom continues her annual tradition of sharing a full two hour mix meditating on the year through sound. Careening through a wide spectrum of styles and artist, her mix gives on expressionistic take on the turning of the old year pregnant with visions of the one to come.
Voluminous Arts is a record label dedicated to Trans artists experimenting with electronic music and sound at the intersection of experimental forms and the dance floor. Founded by Gavilán Rayna Russom.
Gavilán Rayna Russom is an interdisciplinary artist based in New York City.
