Mangulica FM with help of his spouse explores new notions of possible left field diesel music. Mangulica is the only surviving autochthonous Serbian breed of domesticated pig. Other two, Siska and Sumadinka died out. A breed, also known as ‘woolen pig’, due to its good qualities, is considered ‘noble’, but it almost died out in the 1980s. Its fat has up to 80% cholesterol and triglycerides less than a common, white pig. In 1998. Mangulica was introduced in Zasavica, but unlike Podolian cattle, they are left to roam free in the reservation, becoming feral :

Highly influenced by her grandfather who was an avid collector of tapes and records in Asian music; its atmosphere has been always around her and in this spirit, her selection is balanced, waving in many kind of genre not specializing in one particular.

Jj funhouse is a label from Antwerp, formed in January 2014 by Joke Leonare and Jozefien Gruyaert, specializing in records, tapes and printed matter. Their guest of the month is Prins Emanuel, celebrating his third LP, released on Jj funhouse this week. His mix consists of music from a vast majority of strangers, a small minority of friends and an even smaller inch of him. Leaves are thrown from a large window and somehow, some of them land on the same water post. Life goes in rectangles!

Tree roots fuse to the cracks of pavements, spores germinate. In the compost, tracing the spiral bodies of animates, Elina Tapio (@elinatapio) and Hannah Pezzack (@hanapezzack) present a love song to growth and (re)generation. Here, molecularized textures of sound sing back – splintered voices in dissonance utter forms of hallucinogenic glossolalia. The second instalment of 'Scrying the Landscape' features Turner Prize winner, Tai Shani's (@taishani) The Neon Hieroglyph (2021), a composition inspired by ergot, a fungus that grows on rye and other grains from which LSD is derived. This sentiment, abstract as it may be, leads me in the search of new sounds and trying to humbley arrange them one after the other”.
