Mr. Isao Tomita, a pioneer of synthesizer music, has left a word that "electronic and human beings are phenomena" as well as before life. That moment and eternity the dust of the universe gathers and eventually returns to the dust of the universe. Listening to Enitokwa's music, such feelings go round.

シンセサイザー・ミュージックの先駆者、富田勲さんが生前に、「電子音も人間も現象である」と言葉を残されています。宇宙の塵が集合し、やがてまた宇宙の塵へと戻る、その一瞬と永遠。Enitokwaの音楽を聴いて、そんな想いが巡ります。

It is a sound richly containing theanine (sweet ingredient of tea), a gem that can taste slowly and lean heart. A documentary scenery sound reminiscent of the tea making process at Ujikoen is arranged in the whole story, and the virtuous thing with a frankly act is very refreshing.
Please try to entrust with peace of mind in "definite" works which extracted carefully every single drop.

It has been inherited the calmness from Keizan Temple constantly since 700 years ago.
How does the former pioneers feel the fragrance that Enitokwa brings up？

Some forces are so strong they never cease to propel forward. Such is the case with our next guest, Maral Salmassi, who has re-emerged alongside her label Konsequent after a necessary hiatus. With new energy, she bursts forward with colors bright enough to paint the spring, carefully weaving together a musical tale of wonderous proportions. A backbone of European techno and electro distribution well through the 90's, she is no foreigner to the grittier ends of dancefloor antics. Here, however, she has turned inward for us, providing almost two hours of mind-mellowing melancholia. Tune in and let yourself go...

Seitō gathers Japanese female artists from various electronic and experimental music fields. Like the « Tokyo Flashback » series issued by P.S.F. in the early 1990s, this collection recorded between 2017 and 2019 exposes the richness of the contemporary Japanese underground music scene. The title refers to a cult feminist magazine printed in Japan in the 1910s. All tracks issued for the first time.

AKU1016 // VA - Seitō: In the Beginning, Woman Was the Sun (Album preview)

With seemingly effortless precision and a sense for the imperfect, Popp merges Ambient, Third Stream and Minimal Music on his debut album „Laya“. The title derives from the Sanskrit language and signifies a place of rest and mental inactivity. In the spring of 2019 Popp created these 8 tracks from hours of improvisation in his own studio. The moments thus captured were then enriched with more sounds and effects to add layers and shed the manually played percussion of all its earthliness. The result is an album of concealed complexity and unadorned beauty. 

Raised on an old farm in rural Bavaria, Simon Popp started playing the drums at the age of 9. During his studies at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Munich, he extensively studied music from countries like Ghana, Benin, India and Cuba where rhythm is central to culture. On his quest for this world‘s sounds, Popp collected and recorded a wide variety of drums and other instruments, adding to the placelessness of Laya.

California native Justin Pinkerton, a.k.a. Golden Void drummer and the man behind El Paraiso's own Futuropaco project, delivers a full-length album of playful synthesizer music. In contrast to a lot of the other projects Justin has been involved in over the years, Aak'Ab radiates slowness and tranquility. There's a rare sense of calm in these pieces. It would, however, be a mistake to categorize it as ambient or new age – the intricate pattern-work and the raga-like structure of these pieces avoid the usual new age pitfalls, and reveals stronger musical ties to the tradition of American classical minimalism and the electronic side of German kosmische from the 1970s.

Stylistically Aak'Ab harkens back to ideas that first materialized in Terry Riley's compositions in the 1960's and early 1970's. It's about patterns that gradually evolve and transform themselves – much like an organic process unfolding before your ears. The six pieces ebb and flow, and slowly creates a sense of peace and buoyancy in the listener. However, Justin avoids any kind of unnecessary sonic sweetening, instead letting the synthesizers buzz and hum in all their purity.
