Bringing our DECENNIUM series to a worthy finale, is our co-founder and longstanding resident, Michael Silmon aka Kodah.

From our inception in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2010, and since our London journey began in 2012, @kodah has gained a reputation for his impeccable curation and has frequently brought the most cutting-edge lineups to some of the best club venues in London, most notably @foldldn where a strong family bond has been formed, and where he has found his true, spiritual home in London, both as an external promoter / curator, but also now as a resident DJ. Kodah has always maintained an uncompromising adherence to our firm policy of underground electronic music, bridging the heavier spectrum of Techno, Electro, Acid, etc. with new style and form, whilst always paying homage and striving to immortalise the traditional and original roots from which we have grown.

Kodah brings the same wide-ranging musical knowledge and passion for warped, hard-hitting electronics to his productions and he is now firmly cementing his status in the London underground. Recent years have seen Kodah play amongst heavyweights in the Techno and Electro scenes, that include; The Advent, Regis, The Fear Ratio, Speedy J, Kamikaze Space Programme, Claro Intelecto, Conforce, The Exaltics, Scan 7, Developer, DJ Skull, Sterac, E.R.P. & many more.

For this exclusive DECENNIUM mix, Kodah did what he does best and what himself and Natural Selection have gained notoriety for; meticulously and successfully weaving together diverse Electronic forms, some of which would not normally be attempted. As usual the result is a unique and radiant journey of sound, which captivated us for it’s entirety.

Grown up on rock and metal, Matra got attracted to the broad alternative music scene in his homeplace Nijmegen. After being inspired by punishing sets from Identified Patient and Helena Hauff, he picked up dj’ing in 2019. Working on his sound, Matra developed a sincere love for electro music, eventually playing sets for Open Source Radio (Nijmegen), Calor (Arnhem) and several house parties. His collection and style of play yields shatteringly dark mechanic tracks, but also incorporates more fun and light weight electronic sounds. During the day, Matra is mostly busy with his masters in medicine during the day. In his spare time however, he continues to pursue his love for music and aspires to become a name in the Dutch electro scene.

Then, what can you expect in this set? High energy electro with a pace ranging from 140 to 150 bpm, containing some unexpected classics inside and outside the electro genre. It is a reproduction of my latest set at Open Source Radio. You will hear a collection of my personal favorites and in this set, I hope to encapsulate an uplifting energy that keeps the feet moving, hopeful in nearing the end of this pandemic.
