His music can be described as a twisted bass-heavy hybrid with a punkish attitude, constant rhythmic juggling and a pinch of the intimate harmonies in-between.

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.

Sonoplastiko: An Audio Visual Consultation by Nandele 

Concept:  Sonoplastiko is a sound performance, an audiovisual show of experimental electronic music, and "ambient music". However, the main focus is on sound and how it can be manipulated in a synthetic, or digital, and analog perspective, taking into account the acoustics of the space. 

The performance is compiled with field recordings of urban Maputo the capital Mozambique, plus field recordings from certain parts of Europe, airports, Ikea and others such as dialogues recorded in cassettes from Mozambican journalists and novel writers. 

Artist Bio:  Nandele is one of the most innovative beat makers,sound artists, producers and DJ coming from Mozambique. He is at the forefront of the alternative and experimental music scene with his mix of bass heavy Boom Bap instrumentals, Ambient, Techno, Ebm, dubstep, trap, psychedelic hip-hop beats and the makonde rhythms of Northern Mozambique. 

The son of the first black director of the Mozambican National Radio after the country's independence, this is where he gets his musical background listening in his early age to a vast musical catalog raging from Michael Jackson to Fela Kuti, from Kanda Bongo Man to Santana and Marvin Gaye, which he incorporates it in his beat making. 

A prolific producer and writer, Nandele has written music for contemporary dance performances, films and has a number of band projects including: Cantinho das Cores, The Mute Band (who won best new band at the Mozambican Music Awards in 2016) and Azagaia & Os Cortadores da Lenha. He has collaborated with artists such as Felix Laband (RSA), Dion Monti (CHF), Symbiz (DEU) and Boogz Brown (REU), African Ghost Valley(CAN). 

He has graced stages at some of the biggest festivals in Southern Africa: Afropunk Johannesburg, MTN Bushfire Festival in Swaziland, Azgo Festival in Mozambique. His first E.P. Argolas Deliciosas and his first full length album Likumbi was released through Mozambican independent label Kongoloti Records, he has released Eps/cassettes through label Inserttapes in Sweden (Blu Kidz), Already Dead Tapes 
and Records in Los Angeles (Plafonddeinst) and Cotch International in London (FF). Nandele is also member and founder of an audio-visual group Muave he is part of the Miss collective that recently released a multi-disciplinary performance called Degradação (Re)Generativa, he is part of international collective called Proximal Distal who had recently a residency and will release a publication and a vinyl. 

Nandele has remixed tracks for Dubokaj meets Lee Scratch Perry project and Mothers of Mars, and as producer for Tresor 30 compilation along with techno pioneers (Jeff Mills, Dj Stingray), established and upcoming artists around the world and he is part of artist roaster of Tresor Records as well. He has produced a jingle which was a collaboration with ASAAS Collective from Palestine for Radio Alhara, where he is constantly collaborating and his live performances and mixes are broadcasted. He has produced for the Original Soundtrack for the comic book informais created by Anima Studio Criativo. 

Nandele believes through his music he can do the unimaginable... communicating and taking us on his journey to try to communicate with other planets...

Decomposition is a mix series by Dead Channel. Fig. 24 comes from CONFLICT BUREAU. Currently in Chicago, they curate both the Desolation Jax and Leatherette nights (originally spawned in Boston in late 2021), and have been held in NYC and New Orleans. CONFLICT BUREAU is an absolute force in the world of mutant sounds. They hit Dead Channel with this ripper of a mix (recorded live in Chicago at Smartbar last month) cutting hard with freaked jakbeat, mangled acid, and chopped up, stomped out rhythms, in this mutated masterwork.

xin’s WASTED lands on Appendix.files with nine pieces that drag the club through a compost heap of trash(ed) recordings, corroded basslines and scraps of rave memory, forming a porous archive of dance music’s residues – transfigured. Composed of field recordings of waste, the album doesn’t recycle so much as ferment, mulching the detritus of dance culture into something gurgling, volatile, and eerily alive.

Alongside the music WASTED expands into print and website: a zine and wasted.reluctant.promo hold xin’s texts ‘hospicing dance music’ and ‘unsustainability’, extending the artists reflections on exhaustion, precarity and the cultural afterlife.

There’s a sonic depth and mood here that sits somewhere between Raime’s shadowed tension, Carrier’s electro-acoustic sleight and the spacious dub mutations of T++, while its textural apparitions feel as though they’ve been dubbed over a battered Jon Hassell cassette — the otherworldly nostalgia burned away, replaced with a hard-won momentum, like flooring it toward the next gas station before Immortan Joe’s war party closes in. WASTED reads as dance music after the fire: glamour gone, structures wrecked, a stubborn pulse still smouldering underneath. 

opening drifts in on fizzing debris and low-end churn, like a bin bag caught on a breeze. trash dub assembles a crooked percussion grid; compost believes in life after death hovers between hymn and hiss before plunging into the jagged kicks of wasted anew. Mid-record, enough to exhaust and indoors in time stretch the remnants thin, teasing collapse. The last sweep — plastic legacy, no permanence, for now and apocalypse era (i dreamt i glimpsed eternity) — folds exhaustion and faint euphoria into a single long exhale.

Mastered by Ike Zwanikken, artwork and design by Amos Turner, WASTED is Appendix.files at its most thematically aligned: a porous document of cultural leftovers, decomposed into new sonic growths.
