EMC shapes is back with a brand new mix! This time the contribution comes from Eliza!

Eliza is avid for music and record collecting. You will mostly find her passing the hours trying to find those records that break only music barriers and not the bank. If you know her you know: fun is to be taken seriously. Her music is genreless- age, style, price or popularity really doesn’t matter. If it works for her, it works. Her collection is a potpourri mostly built from music out of the late 80s, 90s and early 2000. Through sharing music online during the last few years she built herself a solid base and started to play her music out in clubs and festivals lately. She is member of the label and event series Rota Bene. Those guys always had a great impact on her musical journey and gave her support and hold from the very beginning. You can expect fun, dance and a good amount of chaos.

For doing this mix, I took an example from Walrus' earlier FPM radio show and decided to focus on playing unreleased music by friends and myself. There's some people I know well who contributed tracks, some who reached out from way further to share their music. I tried to vary the pace a bit more than what I usually do playing vinyl. The only previously released track here is Sense of Danger by Presence. A track that marked 2022 deeply for me. Shara Nelson's incredible vocal performance on it has become one of my favorite tearjerkers of all time. In this week's installment of the "Delayed with..." series, we're excited to present you with the creative world of a familiar luminary. Moy Santana, one of the masterminds of Sungate record label and one-half of the dynamic Fase Bipolar duo, emerges not only as a talented producer and exceptional DJ but also as a curator shaping the vibrant Spanish underground techno scene. Moy's impact over recent years, whether through his collaborative efforts with Fran at Sungate, the evocative Observatory podcast series, his original productions, or his mind-altering DJ sets, has been extraordinary.

Today, we're thrilled to unveil one of Moy's "mind-benders," meticulously crafted for our series. While the term "journey" often feels clichéd when describing DJ mixes, Moy's mix effortlessly transcends this label. At its core, this mix embodies the essence of techno. Yet, Moy seamlessly introduces unexpected sonic elements, traversing through dub house, electro, tribal, acid, and back to the depths of techno. The sheer agility with which Moy manipulates these nuances is breathtaking, demonstrating how subtle shifts can redefine genre boundaries while remaining steadfast to the mix's overarching narrative.

At our latest stage hosting for Drift we invited Islas for the closing slot. She blew us away with a floor-oriented set crossing genres on the move.

Islas' roots were in the visual art. As she grew, the curiousness to sound grew with her. Starting with sets bringing together ambient, ASMR and spoken word; currently reviving dance floors with energetic and highly percussive gems. As artistic busy bee, Ailsa co-founded the PLANET collective and helped in founding belgian dance label Basic Moves. As person, a down to earth girl whose determination immediately sparkes interests.
