Black Seed is the alternate identity of Turin-based DJ and producer Matteo Viani.

The project is a showcase of his excavations into the realm of tribal-tinged techno and live experimentation. Using the sharp edges of a raw, tribalistic robot funk sound as tools for crafting rhythm, Black Seed generates unsettling yet grooving scenarios, basemental bangers of danger dunked in smoke and hypnosis.

How does the presence or absence of light regulates our internal biological processes and moods?
Circadian rhythms are endogenous time-keeping systems that synchronize most organisms, from unicellular cyanobacterium to humans, to the external solar cycle. Since light information is the most potent synchronizing factor, biological clocks coordinate the individual’s internal physiological and biochemical processes according to light and dark cycles.

The show is divided into two sets of 1 hour and the musical selection of each DJ reflects those moments: day or night. In this episode Diamin (CL) is in charge of the first part of the program, and GHKC (AR) of the second.

Des festivals, ont eu des moments ultimes, des concentrations de joie ineffables, des fous rires qu’on ne peut en compter. Mais de ces instants que reste t-il vraiment? Que valent vraiment ces bribes de souvenirs? Était-ce vraiment réel? Est-ce important? Y’a t’il quelque chose à retenir? Que reste t’il de l’été?

Deux heures durant on retrace la tournée des festi, ou ce qu’il en reste. Les musiques qui ont eu lieu, quelques ombres de péripéties, quelques images. Peu de chose, juste une carte postal de la liesse, des accolades, et de l’ivresse estivale.

Simple Exposition is a duo formed by Blumm and Insulaire, members of the Bordeaux collective TPLT. Fervent followers of the downtempo doctrine, they don't hesitate to blend their sound with arabian, industrial, rave or trance influences depending on the mood, building bridges between the modern shapes of music and the ways of dancing to it.

Their latest track Casual Mantras appearing on the compilation Foule Contact proposes an initiatory journey in Hindu land, mixing voices and percussions in a fleeting but confidential vision.

For Mutant, Simple Exposition decided to show the deeper side of their sound, never giving in to higher tempos without letting the pressure or the emotion drop, using the diversity of percussive moods at their fingertips.
