We're glad to announce the new RS Podcast season started! This opens with a mix by Owen Pitch (https://soundcloud.com/owenpitch), a Saint-Petersburg's DJ, producer, sound designer and a scápes promotion group co-founder. Kirill originally comes from Bashkiria and makes music for ten years; half of them he has devoted to electronic and is known for several LPs released in Russia and around the globe, e.g. on Barcelona's Diffuse Reality label.

The selection reflects Kirill's provoked by pure curiosity love for various breakbeat music styles that has notably grown on him last years. «Once I stumbled upon a Shall Not Fade compilation while surfing Bandcamp and soon found myself raptured by this specific syncopated sound that barely exploits generic 4x4 beats. That has significantly changed my point on electronic music as I have explored a radically new dimension I've never paid attention before to.»

One of Owen's yet unreleased tracks is also in the mix.

Аfter quite continuous break, Khvylia label presents a new homemade mini-compilation “Khvylia²” , created by 5 musicians during their stay on residency in “Khvylia” sanatorium. Title name of the compilation was a result of wavy and relatively calm creative labor in cognominal location.

Magical golden season in autumn, in between September and October, or as it is called in Ukraine “babye lito”, limited 2-week time far from Kyiv and a group of 20 artists became a catalyst of inspiration, which resulted in 3 tracks that were born in collaboration of musicians on vacation.
Pool, sauna, salt room, sport and fresh air affected the tracks' recording speed negatively. Although, it affected quality in a good way.

Whimsical story about feeling soil under the feet right in between the ocean military chaos had its own fingerprint in each of the artists' tracks. Environment gave an opportunity to finally reflect events around and shape a musical form out of it.

Part of the funds from Bandcamp would be redirected to victims of residential house attack in Dnipro.

For the opening of this year's magical ambient garden at Krake Festival, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mars Leder. He's been blessing the world with exceptional ambient DJ sets for years, and in 2019 he also founded Warming, the chill-out division of Berlin project Warning. After curating Warming as a podcast series for several seasons, he turned to label work last year with the WARM01 compilation. For our night at ://about blank, he brought a smooth and deep selection of laid-back tunes for a cosmic ride.  Enjoy this trip :)

Justin Aulis Long is a sonic sorcerer, urban Homeric poet, and cosmic wanderer that exists within the liminal spaces where light meets dark. Long is the offspring of a gorgon, conceived within a brick and mortar labyrinth while surrounded by the supernatural electronic voices of angelic forces.

While engaging in themes of the uncanny and erotic, Long opens thresholds which lead to psychedelic realms during communal dance gatherings. Applications of sonic alchemy during ritual action generate vibrant forces created through collective effervescence, causing a bubbling over of ecstatic energy leading to rapture. During the rite, incantations are expressed through fusing a swarm of aural fragments composed from diverse temperaments by way of a personal and singular technique.Sacred objects (records), selector’s tools (turntables and mixer), body, spirit, harmonic and discordant voices unify and become one - The Soft Machine.

During a ritual performance, phonic collages are created intuitively on sight, sigils are aurally direct with specific intent, and offerings are bestowed before an alter, all charged by an engine of chaos. Time and space unravels while normality ruptures and disintegrates as foundational structures of the status quo are dismantled through intensive executions, founded in the practices surrounding musical selection.
