Beautiful downtempo vibes perfectly suited for laidback garden moments and home-listening purposes from Radiant Love co-founder Byron Yeates. As one of the masterminds behind Radiant Love, Byron Yeates has been killing it on all fronts in recent years. The authentic, and altogether meaningful platform, heavily powered by a community-driven ethos, celebrates inclusivity with a strong focus on contemporary art and killer line-ups. With an eye on the release of their recent V.A. compilation for International Women's Day, we caught up with Yeates to get the lowdown.

Oddysee 028 | 'Skystepper' by Byron Yeates

Gabriele (@ggaabbrriieellee) collects music, occasionally enjoys playing weird tunes to small dancing crowds, run a small record label called @Sunnycrypt and also spends some of his happiest days working in a record shop. Driven by a strong curiosity towards a wide range of musical genres coming from different eras and different cultural contexts, he co-curated the "Italian Dancefloor Outsiders 1987 - 1994" project, a retrospective compilation of under-the-radar leftfield club music released by Sound Metaphors' THANKYOU.

Two hours and a quarter is approximately the time of a car ride from Milano - the place I’ve been living for 10 something years now - to Massa, my hometown, in the northern end of Tuscany.
This mix kind of tries to embody both length and feeling wise one of those travels, the mixed feelings in kind of leaving a part of my current life behind while embracing memories from the past, adapting to a much slower peace, feeling the breeze of the sea and the salt on my skin, deep diving into a river, hiking a hill… or maybe I’m just overthinking as per usual, and this mix is just a selections of tunes I really like that might be a good fit for your next car ride : )

Amanita is the Proud mommy of Sinestesie- collective and DIY party series based in Italy, with a monthly residency on Radio Raheem Milano, and Carpet Airlines- experimental

She hosts Morning Mantra, a monthly ambient radio show on Radio Alhara.

Amanita’s sound expands rhizomatically in a progressive & psychedelic galaxy
suspended somewhere in between space and forests. With a particular affection for
trancy rhythms and a pitching-down tendency, her music journeys are full of trippy
loops, ritual atmospheres and gender-bender touches.

In this mix, she serves us a Dubbed-trance sonic journey inspired by ritual bosky atmospheres, infused with witchy voices and percussive rhythms- invoking full gender-bender brujas energy.

Les sons d’Amanita s’étendent de manière rhizomatique dans une galaxie progressive et psychédélique, suspendue quelque part entre l’espace et les forêts. Avec une affection particulière pour les rythmes trancy et une tendance marquée aux rythmes ralentis, ses sets mélangent de boucles trippy au sein d'atmosphères rituelles, à l'hybridation des genres.

Dans ce mix, elle nous propose un voyage sonore trance-dub inspiré par des atmosphères rituelles forestières, imprégné de voix ensorcelantes et de rythmes percussifs - invoquant l'énergie des brujas à la croisée des genres.
