Box 5ive from London is quite a new head in UK electronic scene, at the begining of the year he made a strong appearance on a Well Street Records various artists with a dark and groovy slomo bass belter which made us want to invite him on our infamous “Pr. Raoult Secret Weapons”. He also manage a show on Bristol’s Noods Radio and seems to have a peculiar interest for downtempo bass music weirdnesses.

Through her music and involvement in the scene, Maral seeks to both educate and have a positive impact on others."

statement about mix: The concept of this mix is centered around improvisation and the role it’s had in my music making. I was revisiting my first experimental live set that I performed with a friend in college around 2010 in the town of Blacksburg, Virginia, which I’ve shared the full recording in this mix. I’ve grown a lot since that recording but it was a really great moment of locking into a higher realm through improvisation and getting to share that with an audience. I think about that feeling a lot when making my music, and most of the tracks featured in this mix are from me improvising using samples from my Persian classical/traditional collection. I create a world for the samples to play together and become friends, that’s when I know the song is done. At the end of this mix, I included a section from one of my parents' tapes that I brought back from Iran, so the listener can hear an example of the source of my samples, before the samples step into my world.

Tryphème, First revealed in a compilation album, Online Dating, released in 2017 on CPU Records and which brought her to a Boiler Room Sheffield overseen by the label Warp, she hasn’t stopped opening new tracks. Her show “Dame de Coeur” (“Queen of Hearts”) on LYL Radio is one that reveals to us the ever so subtle results of her musical research. Thanks to the support program of the FGO-Barbara center, she was also able to build a live that is rightfully hers, in which energies mix on the same level as the arts. Her second album, Thanks God For Air Emotions, is yet another indicator of her obsession for skin-deep music, a filterless conductor from her feelings to ours;
