Manuel Amezquita is a transmedia artist based in México. The artist generates his esthetic pursuits plumb the integral linkages between electronic sequences and mind loops. Consumed by 90 ́s techno he simultaneously assume numerous positions, inhabiting a space between art and dance music. Architect of landscapes, Lewis_33 pene- trates the undead skin between solid matter and the immaculate. 
The moniker sustains a long and abstract relationship with data and the way that day by day transmutes to the cultural system; artifacts inside the matrix that distor the interaction between lifeforms and their creations. 
His taboo-free composition system generate pieces that commune with a single style, as a result the spectrum of his production navigates from IDM, EBM, Ambient, Proto-Techno, Noise, Avant-garde rock, concrete music and/or Click-Hop. 
Lewis_33 can be said to emanate different tonalities in each of his creations, sometimes illuminated and discreet like listening to ambient music and sometimes as dark as a vivid hell extracted from the deepest cavities of rave scene.

Tape Loops Vol.1 started in 2020 when the São Paulo-based artist Paula Rebellato, co-founder of the genre-bending group Rakta, sat down to listen to some tapes at home.

Her first movement to loop fragments of a tape through a Boss DD7 pedal happened out of curiosity, not knowing exactly which sound she was looking for. From this on, her desire started to take shape, and decisions were made: to compose songs using various loops of two possible antagonistic artists/bands to unleash new music horizons.

The idea of looping and editing pre-existing sounds, finding the right tones and fragments that could work together, and mix them into a new composition came with great excitement and, eventually, as a very laborious process which she was more than willing to dive in.

Juxtaposing compositions by artists like Jah Wobble & Holger Czukay, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Hide, Led Zeppelin, Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares, Deafkids, and Fronte Violeta, this record is about resignification through time, space, layers, and repetition inviting the listener to a journey of nuances through its 4 authorial jams and a remix by the power-electronics duo Os Fita, from Rio de Janeiro.

This is the initial episode of a release in 2 parts. The first one signed with Paula's forename as part of a process of reaffirming herself as an artist, in which her name emerges as a statement of multiple interests in sounds, genres, musical paths, and research.

Dez Williams' second Woodwork outing further frames his imaginative productions within a wide conceptual space encompassing several styles of deep electronic underground music. Expressive noisy synth riffs and soaked stabs lace their way through a series of jams which pull equally from modern and vintage varieties of techno, acid, house and electro. The resulting sound and feeling averts description or definition, yet there remains an absolute sense of lineage and vague familiarity in the midst of this set of explorative works.

From the quirky acid bass and melodic bleeps of the title track, 'hexentrik', through dub meditations invoked by 'screenshot', with the raw machine sound of 'formit' and enlightened pattern play central to 'nowtt', the EP winds its way toward the eastern pentatonic 'ohaguro' and the dramatic interstellar acid, electro-techno afterburner 'entangled data banks'. This collection offers up several mix-ready individual flavours that also serve an engaging chronicle heard start to finish.
