The Moog Sub 37 has a phat filter wheel, seriously it is the largest dial on the unit, that when twiddled modulates the sound in an amazing way... while notes are played pitch isn't the main source of the modulation, the Moog Filter Phat Wheel is! That's why it is a Sub Phatty after all! Yes! Nice.

The Moog Sub 37 Phatty is a subtractive synthesis semi-modular processing synthesizer with the most kick ass Filter Wheel. Modulating the sound with this filter as the primary modulation method, few notes are played, most of those are just one octave down from Middle A (440 Hz). It's quite stunning. Phat.

Nobody expected the Roland System-1m to enable one to generate such microtonal sounds so proficiently. It's eerie. It's epic. It's deeper than deep. It originates from the depths of the darkest most horrifying places in your brain stem to explode harmony out of existence while having sense and structure to it. 

The microtonal sounds are generated from the Pitch ControlVoltage+Gate dial on a Roland Aira System-1m within a digital echo chamber, full reverb, full delay with full delay time (sometimes adjusted). This includes all the ghostly voice, chanting type sounds.

An exploration in music instruments playing themselves. When the System-1m's echo camber (reverb, delay, delay time) is cranked up and the Intellijel Metropolis Step Sequencer's pace through the sequence steps is shorter than the echo chamber window there is feeding of the prior loop's sound trailing edge into the current loop thus altering the music each loop of the sequence droning.

Exploring Dial Modulations. Highly experimental patch Metropolis driving Mutant Bassdrums processed by forked independent Aira Effects and System-1m paths. The bass drums by HexInverter are kick ass. Processing them by the Roland Aira effects units, Scooper, Demora, Torcindo, and BitRazer and at the same time by the Roland System-1m is quite stunning at times and utterly hopelessly strange, bizarre, over the top, under the bottom, inside out and spacey back to grounded bass drums. A wild ranging wondering exporations of the possible sounds from these systems. The Metrpolis from Intellijel kept the pounding sequence going at 60 BMP and then later on, you can hear the pace change, up to 128 BMP, a common club beat pace. Oh, and least we forget the Korg SQ-1 provided LFO CV and Gate modulation to the various parameters of the Aira Effects units at various times. Recorded to a Zoom H6.

The Alpha Null Null One Chord as played by a Human Aggregator. 

My very simple alpha null null one chord on my awesome JP-8000. Every player starts at an alpha chord. 

I composed a song after reading about music theory all weekend. It is based in one chord, the first chord I composed, ever. As a player I'm a human arpeggiator beater, a human arp. Now it's evolved into a whole piece after playing it on many keyboard instruments. I consider it an independent standing piece on it's own merits to be enjoyed. Layering it into another piece set brings a union divergence unique potency pulsing life machine to the forefront. This has helped because many questions while composing are eliminated by some of the ideas in Music Theory, and by enough that my playing was informed to new skillz levels. Enjoy the piece. Two Roland Aira System-1m units driven by the two channels of the Arturia BeatStep Pro. One at 64 steps per loop and the other at 16 steps per loop in the middle that comes and goes. The chain represents the notes in a step sequence.

A requiem for all innocents caught up in the cycle of violence of all of those who use violence for political purposes.

The objective reality of Nature is a harsh mistress to us all, some more than others. Why do people choose to use the initiation of violence to solve political problems? They are driven by ideas that violate the rights of others... in pursuit of their dark visions that violate consent.

I wrote this dark piece as a requiem for all the innocents caught up in the violence and mass murderous acts of #all those who are dedicated to using and initiating aggression, violence, murder, weapons, destruction, ... to further their political goals. This applies to all who use violence. Self defense is one thing but the slaughter of innocents by any group of people is a war crime. War is never justice. As soon as one innocent is murdered those involved have become war criminals and need to be brought to justice.

Arpeggiating a chord and taking it where the feels lead me so that I could express the music that already existed in the realm of possibility. I actually arpeggiated two chords, one with each hand. The left hand sustained the dark notes throughout most of the piece. The right hand explored the other emotions.

The full title is Requiem For Innocents Everywhere And Everywhen.
It was one take till the emotion felt like it had been transcribed into music. No edits other than fade in/out and level adjustment.

Update 20170707: I've been told recently that Shaken Love fits into the Musique Concrete style of Pierre Henry, as he passed away today it seems fitting that in addition to this being a tribute to Anomaly the Cat it's also a tribute to Pierre Henry and Musique Concrete, a composer and style I only learned about a day before his passing in a strange twist of fate.
