mUtaTe &amp; diStoRt are Rob303 &amp; Louie Pashan. Originally from Hamilton &amp; Hopeman in Scotland they have been resident in London since their punk rock youth. They can be found regularly on the free party scene performing live machine sets from electro to full on acid techno..

They also compose &amp; perform as LoNDoNoRTHSIDE which is also their new record label...Founded in 1991 as a bi-product of the acid house techno scene in London, members rob303 &amp; louie pashan met @ the prestigious City of Westminster College London while studying sound engineering &amp; music technology. They have played &amp; produced together since then releasing a number of 12” vinyl on the MAD Record Label &amp; regularly playing live electro &amp; techno sets with real machines both in the UK &amp; abroad. 
With several different profiles, their myspace platforms have widened their popularity &amp; been a positive outlet for their original music &amp; remixes which include Neil Young, Amy Winehouse &amp; Carnival of Souls, Stevie Wonder, Slim Shady, Pink, Bos Skags, John Lennon &amp; Marlyn Manson to name but a few.

There are two sides to Mutate &amp; Distort's music, and both are represented on "Electrostatic". On one hand, the duo seem perfectly happy to play it hard, either with the jarring riffs and slamming rhythms on the title track, with the punky vocals and distorted bass of "Fighting Talk", or with the all-out stomping acid assault of "Richparty". On the other hand, the act has a depth and ability to craft sensuous techno, most notable on the seductive dubby techno of "Red Wine With Amy" or the superb widescreen chords of "USB Socket", which is reminiscent of vintage Steve Rachmad material.
