Recently, Dirk sent me his groovy drum improv as a backing track , then it was my turn to improvise on it in a free jazz mood  with as an impulse a short rythmical phrase i had composed  ;-)

I did this soundscape wich is a part of improvisation on the baritone and sopranino saxophones blended with a part of a composition using electronic treatments...The idea was for me to create a soundscape meditative and  creepy

Recently, Dirk sent me a backing track where he improvises using a music box and some objects. It was pure poetry that reminds me my childhood. So i have decided to create this soundscape   wich is a part composed and a part freely improvised.

This is an expert of  the Nola Transonic winter live  session 
Played live on February 15 2021 at home in Braine-L’Alleud (Belgium)
on the sopranino and tenor saxes on a backing track I have composed.
The backing track uses mainly sound materials that can be produced by baritone and sopranino saxophones (filtered or natural). Some synthetic sounds are also used.

This soundblog...is the result of my artistic work and research on the sopranino saxophone and some on the baritone sax. Some lives , some studios , some experiments... from free improvisation to composition .
It includes solos, group performances and soundscapes that i create with this quite rare instrument: the sopranino sax, using his sound material among other sounds .
I will add new tracks regularly .
