Formed in the winter of 2012 by cousins Nick Pasquarosa ( Pasquarosa ) and Jay Lane ( Speak! Ya Rhyme ) Mute The News is a rare blend of musical influence with a sound all there own.

Forged from almost ten years in the New England hip hop scene the two combine hardcore fast paced lyricism with intelligent political commentary and come at your neck punch lines into one brutal yet melodic package.

Touching on both golden era hip hop as well as punk, heavy metal and roots reggae Mute The News is a one of a kind sound.

2013 Marks the release of our first album "Un-American Idols" which drops Thanksgiving ( Nov.28th 2013 ) featuring a global production team both from the US all the way to the UK and Europe. 

The album is set to feature several prominent Boston Emcees as guest appearances such as Esoteric ( A.O.T.P / Czarface / Demi Gods ) Akrobatik ( The Perceptionists w/ Mr. Lif )
