Skelesys has been a firm favourite for years pumping out hit after hit of dark twisted synth-based techno.  Originally hailing from Buenos Aries but now residing in Berlin Skelesys has been leading the charge with that Industrial EBM vibe I've loved since the '80s. He's a producer and live act with a strong musical background. Heavily inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, science fiction and horror movies. His sound could be defined as haunted and effective, a delicate mixture of basslines, guitar riffs and subtle grooves surrounded by darkness with a stripped-down electronic vibe. Having chatting on and off with Damian about this cast over the years I'm super stoked to finally add his name to the Hostage Radio collection! and yes the mix is a fuckin belter as you would expect!

Stockholm Syndrome is a DJ/producer based in Melbourne. Originally from Edinburgh, Iain Mac (aka Pyz) has been DJing and promoting for over 2 decades.
After moving to Melbourne in 2010 Pyz formed Stockholm Syndrome. Pyz / Stockholm Syndrome has been DJing and promoting for over a decade. With a 9-year residency at Edinburgh’s Cabaret Voltaire, he's supported DJ Hell, The Hacker, Ivan Smagghe, Popof, Surgeon, Agoria, Luke Slater, Derek May, and Kevin Saunderson to name a few. After moving to Melbourne he formed Stray in 2012 and has been heavily involved in Yaldi Boomtime as a resident and co-promoter.
Stockholm Syndrome’s style is extremely varied and unapologetic, it can’t be neatly wrapped up into a single genre. He is drawn to dark, moody Techno, the raw energy of Mex-tech, and the eclectic sounds of Balearic Acid House. Since his debut at Section 8 in Melbourne, he has gone on to clock up an impressive gig list DJing at many of the city’s iconic venues including Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica, The Liberty Social, Boney, and The Mercat.

2015 saw an inspired closing set at the inaugural Piknic Electronik Melbourne. 2016 started off with a bang opening the Sunset Stage at Rainbow Serpent Festival, widely regarded as one of the best music, art, and lifestyle festivals in the world. This was quickly followed up with a return to Piknic Electronik Melbourne where he performed to a sell-out crowd warming up for The Hacker. He also rounded out a big year with an appearance at Strawberry Fields Festival along with support for Carl Craig on New Year’s Eve.

Since then Stockholm Syndrome has been very focused on production and studio time. In the last few years, he has collaborated with several of his favorite artist and friends. Most notably forming ‘Stockholm Youth’ A collaboration with Nein Records Boss Tronik Youth, ‘Man Syndrome’ with the mighty Man 2.0 & of course his most recent work with Mexican heavy wait Lusca. 

Stockholm Syndrome continues to keep himself busy gigging, curating his monthly podcast ‘Hostage Radio’ and putting on his own ‘Tilt Shift’ events. On top of this, he has a number of EPs & Remixes set to drop with labels such as Ombra International, Nein, Melomana, Controlla, Veneno & Play Pal Music

The New Yorker/Berlin based Curses is known for blending his Rock & Roll roots with the darker side of disco and electro. In both his DJ and live sets. Curses incorporate his ghostly vocals and guitar with flashes of EBM, New Wave, Post-Punk, and psychedelic synth vibes. Releasing selectively on well respected underground labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Throne of Blood, Ombra INTL. and Relish, Curses also runs a Rinse France monthly radio residency showcasing artists who share a love for mixing wave and weird disco.
