Electronic music when mixed well, can transcend time.  For more than thirty minutes the mix delivers audio with deep and sublime changes through an organic style.  Once the scene is entirely separated from reality, a sweet drift gives way to more bubbling basslines and colorful sounds.  One foot on the gas and another on his paintbrush, Scott drives the mix almost endlessly in a progressive house train of high-q style.  Scott's artful dagger makes an unmistakable point; 120 minutes feels like one.

Mixing music enjoys constant attention from Scott Riley in our Podcast 123.  This week he works through the nuances with ease, matching both emotion and harmony in each bridge.  This track selection pushes ambient headroom to festival-sized fills.  His mixing style also bears some new face as there are bold mixes with more obvious drum track changes.  As those moments move in over the top, the progressive energy is constantly boosting the vibe up to another level of dance.  From the worldly intro, to the stormy interludes, to the housey trance at the 90-minute mark, the mix rocks.

As sound and style are presented, the listener's ear has the wonderful job of stitching together music on a soundstage in the mind.  The set is a hallmark of syncopation, alternating between the stereo channels.  It brings about an atmosphere rich with physical behavior to engage the listener on a unique level.
