my first time writing sheet music and i'm not a trained musician (apart from some piano lessons) so please excuse any errors :)

1/12/24: i'm not sure if anyone will read this. its been over 6 years and almost 100k plays since i published this song. at the time i was going through a break up. i know corny not a real problem. it was my first breakup and i really was in a high amount of distress and very sad. i didn't have many friends at college at the time and just was not doing well. i sat in a practice room at my school for about a month and this song just flowed out of me. i had never written music before, had been playing piano for about 2-3 years i think, and i don't remember really thinking it out or planning what i wanted it to sound like or using any music theory besides picking a key. it just happened. every part of it came out of my hands naturally. i know it's not the most perfect piece of music ever, but to this day this song feels like a fluke to me. like something supernatural so to speak. i don't know how it came to be. you can listen to the music on my profile, i am still proud of the other songs i have made, but i am not talented, i am not especially skilled, and no other song i have made even compares. i genuinely do not know how this piece came to be, i listen to it and look back and almost view myself in that time as a completely different person. capable of something that today i am not. i remember recording this song one night and i could not get it right, i was there for hours. one of the student workers knocked on the door to the practice room and said they were closing in 5 minutes. i really only had one more take or i'd have to come back. and that last take is this one here. idk if you can hear my breathing towards the end but i was so nervous of messing it up. and somehow i still poured all my emotions into it. idk what i'm going on about. i'm really not trying to brag or gloat or anything i just think about this song a lot and i'm like how tf did that even happen. i'm really glad that people here have been able to listen and feel something out of this song especially if that feeling is any form of comfort. i haven't stopped creating things to this day, i've mainly transitioned to making video games and consequently music for those, but that brings me a lot of joy to know that something i made has helped someone. i hope to continue to be able to do that throughout my life. and this song showed me that was possible. and that i can really pour my heart into something and others will notice. so this song means a lot to me. seriously thank you to who ever listens to this or reads this. if anyones ever actually learned this and played it thats incredible and you are amazing. i won't forget. i hope everything is ok or will be ok for you.
