Fur Coat’s Oddity label starts 2021 with a fresh edition of the acclaimed various artists “Odd Echoes Vol.4”. This instalment showcases some artists that are already known to the label, as well as many new additions to the family.

Fur Coat’s commitment to their label over the last few years has seen the imprint amass a dedicated following and an ever growing list of respected and lauded releases. Utilising their Various Artists compilations, the duo have unearthed some extremely exciting talent in this world and given emerging artists a platform to exhibit their craft.

Diving into the package we are greeted with the melodic and emotional sounds that Oddity has their recognisable stamp. Its clear though that each artist involved has developed their own signature sound and presents something unique to the VA. The first half is formed of well crafted tracks which ease us into the sound. Tracks the build and develop over time and help to kick start out musical exploration.

In true Oddity style the second half of the package leans towards darker and more driving pieces. Casting the listeners mind to the dancefloors which the tracks were meant to be played on. Its a VA formed of 21 original tracks mostly from first timers on the label, that all together solidify the identity of the series and sound of Oddity.

Mezclado, Pt. 2 is on the way. For the second edition Einmusika teamed up with Jonas Saalbach and SKALA.

"Immerse" is a dark and floating track with choppy hihats and a filtered clap. Effect sounds blend in and out next to deep drowning brassy synths.

"Carnival" has housy chords and some crazy lead synths. During the break an 80s style arpeggiator opens up with the typical Einmusik progression.

Einmusik & Jonas Saalbach - Immerse [Snippet]

Since fusing their creative worlds in 2014, Martin Vice and Michael Banel emerged on the international scene as an exciting and powerful duo, quickly enthralling audiences around the globe. 

Their self-titled collaboration, MVMB, focuses on delivering a slick and intelligent sound taking listeners on a journey with not only their sets but their accumulating releases. The first full-length album in 2016, The sleeper Must Awaken (Iboga Records), effortlessly explores the boundaries between techno and progressive psy-trance to deliver a deep, driving and hypnotic soundscape. Intentionally crafted to take listeners on an interstellar journey connecting them to the almost mythical trance dance sensation, the album was received with acclaim.

Taking the bpm down a notch while turning up the heat, their 2019 second album Phase 01 (IbogaTech) traverses the atmospherics of a melodic techno sound that retains a hint of trance. Their next, eagerly awaited step in the journey will see them arrive in Peak Techno town in 2022, ready to demolish dance floors with melodic mayhem.

Delivering powerful performances responsive to the energetic needs of the dance floor, MVMB is a versatile act available for bookings to present melodic techno, peak time techno or progressive trance sets.
The debut album "The Sleeper Must Awaken" were released on Iboga Records, adding to the labels very impressive stable of artists and quality releases.

In 2016-17 the duo have started producing a techno album and developed a new DJ concept mixing own tracks with their favourite inspirations from the techno scene.
