Zadaniem TBH jest poszerzanie przestrzeni w ciasnych pomieszczeniach oraz promocja absurdu. Taki efekt uzyskuje poprzez wymieszanie trzech przypraw: tworzenie selekcji mocno opartej na wyraźnym i dynamicznym beacie, nadużywanie pętli efektów opartej na delayu i reverbie, wprowadzanie do mixu elementu niespodzianki poprzez dynamiczne i gwałtowne ruchy. Pozdrawia wszystkich fanów i fanki.

TBH’s ultimate goal is to promote absurdity and create space in tight and crowded rooms. Such objective is achieved using the mix of three critical ingredients: being picky about drums and beats, overusing delays and reverbs, beaming paramount dynamics through elements of surprise. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Motown, the iconic record label launched in 1959 in Detroit, Michigan by Berry Gordy Jr., Carhartt WIP will release a thirteen-piece capsule collection in the coming weeks. The collaboration honors a label that reshaped the sound of American pop music, diversifying its airwaves in the process. 

To mark the collection launch, we reached out to Detroit native Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann and asked him to prepare a strictly Motown music Carhartt WIP Radio show, that displays his personal love for the label.
 
As Moodymann is not man for hasty reactions, he delivered a detailed mix featuring rare b-sides, interviews and live recordings by Motown artists like Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Steve Wonder, Kem and Dazz Band. Asked about his very own feelings towards his mix, Kenny Dixon Jr. simply says: “No matter where I‘m standing it’s good to hear home sometimes. These songs are woven into the soundtrack of my own personal movie.”  There is nothing more to add, only: enjoy the ride!
