Unconventionality was a key aspect for me in creating this material, which is why I experimented with unconventional sounds and effects to give my music a distinctive atmosphere. I drew inspiration not only from techno artists but also experimented with other genres such as ambient, industrial, and house to introduce fresh elements into my album. This combination of different styles and influences allowed me to create sounds that were both modern and timeless. It was also important to create fluidity and coherence in the EP. The selection of track order, transitions, and musical narration played a crucial role in the overall perception of the project. Ultimately, my material is an expression of my passion for exploring new sounds and expressing myself. I am proud to have created something unique, and I hope that listeners will be able to feel the energy and emotions that I intended to convey through my music.

ZATHRA - Refraktometria EP [MWTG003]

Refraktometria was produced by a two producers team from the ZATHRA collective: Internal Observer (@ntrnl-bsrvr) and 8R0 (@spoonworks). In the collective, they represent sounds oscillating around dark forms of dance music.

The produced tracks refer in their rawness to the industrial roots of techno. It is a trip full of loops of machine sounds, devoid of any unnecessary embellishments, and at the same time it lacks typical references to accepted standards. All tracks on this EP have been created in a way that leaves room for further sonic experimentation for any creative DJ. The direct inspiration for recording four tracks for this EP were images of light refraction of substances, the determination of whose coefficients is used to study their physicochemical properties. Hence its name - Refraktometria.

Sara had her first performance in front of a larger audience in February 2021. Initially, she focused around fast and hard varieties of techno with a bit of a trancy vibe. After some time, she turned towards lighter but not slower sounds. Currently, she draws her main inspirations from the French scene and a fairly young variety of groove techno, a delicate, fast paced kick intertwined with minimalistic sounds.

She contributes to the scene through Theia Crush (@theia-crush), a relatively new project through which she can implement numerous ideas related to the broadly understood organization of events.

Dorian Gray is the reflective persona of the Italian producer and DJ, Moreno Mariotti, an artist whose comprehension of techno music is a far cry from any conventions. Dorian’s musical craftsmanship is influenced by his interest in astronomy as well as esotericism. His productions formulate a refined deep and hypnotic atmosphere, cleverly connected to his interests beyond music. Trance rhythms, detailed ambient pads, and intervening acidic loops shape Dorian’s signature sound and provide a clear glance at this artist’s inspirational flow and intricate creative process. His work appeared on labels such as The Gods Planet, Edit Select Records, Informa Records, Space Trax Berlin and many others. In 2020 he launched his new label DORIAN.

Edvvin’s productions can be classified as a combination of tribal and hardgroove techno but with a fresh and innovative perspective. SPLOT is based on openness, courage and musical versatility. Its goal is an ongoing expansion of boundaries of the local electronic music scene. SPLOT resulted from immense respect for underground club culture in the UK. It is the sound balancing on the verge of contemporary techno, dub, UK bass and broken rhythms.

Milena Glowacka is a vinyl-only DJ, producer and liveact performer. Based in central Europe, a female pioneer of the polish techno scene. Plays regularly in Germany and appeared four times in the legendary Tresor club in Berlin. Her tracks are full of trippy techno and muddy atmosphere in which you can easily get lost. Her original, unique production style resulted in multiple collaborations with Semantica Records and vinyl releases on labels such as Delirio, about:blank, Inner Tension and Monday Off. In DJ sets, she is an uncompromising vinyl lover, combining a selection between trippy techno and hypnotic, dance floor sounds, often intertwining them with intensive, groovy techno accents.

Once a founder of a hardcore punk band and an organizer of metal events, he is now searching for ways to express himself as a live performer, producer, and DJ. He is also a co-founder of Hydra Collective and a resident of Obiekt and Dom Technika clubs. His sets are stories filled with emotions and energy, representing a rebellious soul and an open mind to a wide spectrum of electronic music genres. In his selection and production, you can hear inspirations from many styles, ranging from trance, through groove, and ending with schranz, acid, or industrial techno. Currently, he is focused on developing his skills as a live performer in the hard groove techno style, which reflects his inner experiences and is a way of expressing his emotions.

Through having experienced top-notch club nights in the Poznań drum & bass scene, a healthy dose of nostalgia and respect for the musical roots of club music all combined with his own, sensible outlook, Jan Chmielewski / Overthink approaches DJing with the intent to move both body and soul. He holds a particular reverence for breakbeats, whether it's the essential Amen, the Think, the Funky Drummer or some original concoction from the likes of Paradox. The drums, naturally, come accompanied by proper, hard-hitting low-ends as well as unique, brutalist rave aesthetics or jazzy atmospherics often associated with mid-90s drum & bass. Drawing from the many flavors and permutations of jungle, d&b, drumfunk or slower tempos, Overthink’s goal is to always go a little deeper, exploring the culturally rich history and future of his beloved corners of club music.

Their long-standing partnership also translates into collaboration behind the decks, and their avant-garde set at Summer Contrast last year was hotly debated.

Vi is a resident of the @klubcialo, member of @slapsuper collective. From 2022 AURA event host. Vi presented her selections in many important clubs and festivals in Poland and also at legendary Tresor, HÖR, Berlin as well as in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Based on constant openness and searching in music for what most affects emotions and loss, Vi treats electronic music as the best therapy. She focuses on deep, raw techno but nevertheless not afraid playing with the stylistics and boldly calls her club sets eclectic. In selection Vi looks fot stimuli that they transform spatial ballads into a fast, galloping groove.

Re_silence is the DJ alias of visual artist Tomek Gawroński, better known as Tving Stage Design. He played in such clubs as Prozak 2.0, Transformator, Szpitalna 1, Smolna and Ciało. In his individual artistic path, Re_silence departs from standard structures and focuses on emotional reactions. The energy of electronic music serves him as a medium to express his own feelings and a tool to manipulate the feelings of others. The spectrum of moods expressed in his DJ sets ranges from nostalgia to melancholy in a dizzying and pulsating groove without locking himself into any stylistic framework. Black, white and light in the same pulse, without being tied to a single source are the authentic guide of his own visual art.

DJ'ing for more than two decades this Polish DJ has played probably every decent underground club in his home country, as well as having the chance to bring his musical vision to Berlin (Tresor, ://about blank, Berghain Kantine, Suicide Circus, HÖR, Club Der Visionäre), Kiev (Kievbass), Malta (Liquid), Prague (Wildt) & London (Ginglik, Egg, Gramaphone). He also appeared at numerous summer festivals in Croatia (Outlook Festival, Dimensions Festival), Germany (Fokus Festival, I Love Vinyl Open Air, Krake Festival), Malta (Infinity Festival), Slovakia (Breathe) & Poland of course (Up To Date, LAS, Audioriver, Gamma, Kaskada, Asid).  

His trademark mixing style is diverse and lively. He loves blending many different genres and unexpected turns why he's not easy to pigeonhole. Also a lot depends on the party and the people. Since 2012 Feelaz runs the Vinylgate Recordstore in the heart of Poznan. Also he is a resident of Tama club, and he runs his clubnight Acid Plant at the infamous Schron club.

This is a recording from a live performance (Cracow, STK47, 08.09.23) – the result of Kharl and Michał Świeboda, also known as Tonallaxe, teaming up. Their incredible techno duo blends traditional DJ sets with sound experiments using a modular synthesizer, creating a wild journey through the sonic space. Improvisation and technical tricks come together, giving a fresh spin to the classic vibe, all while keeping it real and crafting a spatial musical expression.

Electronic music has always been a transmitter and a catalyst of emotions for him. He started his professional adventure in 2008, where he performed as a DJ at the first club party. Over the years, he perfected his skills and went through several musical genres to finally focus on the darker variety of his favorite genre. DJ, collector and promoter of music born in Olsztyn and living in Gdynia. Resident of the Drugi DOM club, where he hosts an event series called "PACED". Responsible for the @polishtechnology project which takes care of publishing respected podcast series, promoting newest releases of techno music and releasing the music as a label. Member of @pplshowcase group which is involved in organizing legal and less legal events in the Tricity scene.

Inspired by the music vision created by music labels such as SK_eleven, KSR, KEY Vinyl or Hayes. He plays fast paced, rhythmic sets also connecting various textures and elements of deep and hypnotic techno. Surrounded by music since his early years. Starting from long, arduous years with classical, electric guitar and drums. He started in 2019 in Gdańsk shipyard’s venue Protokultura. Since then he regularly presents his vision of techno, performing in clubs, festivals and publishing sets for Polish and foreign music platforms playing vinyl or digital.

Wrocław based DJ, producer and promoter. Half of the SOLARPUNK DJ duo and member of the RAVE/TEK event series, which focuses on the popularization of futuristic sounds in electronica. Musically, he tries to reach for new solutions, blending different subgenres of electronic music into a wider ensemble. Donija oscillates between highly technological breakbeat, bass, electro, hyper pop, grime, dub, and wet, psychedelic idmish techno, all sprinkled with a noticeable UK influence. While his music career might be relatively short, he already had the opportunity to perform in many clubs in the country and he recently recorded a podcast for the legendary Rinse FM at the invitation of KETTAMA. As a producer, he has debuted on the "Peace Tomorrow" V/A compilation, contributing among some of the first class Ukrainian and Polish producers.

Two friends who have been co-creating the Wroclaw electronic music scene for over twenty years. They have visited most clubs in Poland and performed at the biggest Polish festivals. They are active as promoters, inviting the most interesting figures of the electronic scene in the world to Wroclaw. They support beginners and ambitious DJs. Their sets are an eclectic mix of house/deep house/tech house music with an accentuated distinct groove. They perfectly feel the vibe of every party - always danceable, always diverse, different every time!

Seb:

On the music scene for over 20 years. He bases his sets on deep-tech house style and unusual combinations enriched with live drums and ethnic elements. As a resident he has represented many clubs in Wroclaw. For the longest time he cooperated with Droga do mekki, where he was in charge of the musical setting. He created and ran the LOG:IN club. He has organized countless events and concerts in the capital of Lower Silesia. He collaborates on many musical projects. He is the co-founder of the mini festival WAKE UP!, works on the Snowee Music Trip, and creates commercial music playlists. As of 2022, he is responsible for the Flow stage at LAS Festival. Together with Gosia and Martyna, he creates the Deep Flow Yoga project, which is yoga with live music. For 9 years he was a resident of the Pralnia club and a member of the AFFEKT agency. He constantly seeks and infects people with good music. Since 2023, a member of the homies collective.

Rodrigezz:

A lover of vinyls and an avid collector of them. He has been active on the club scene since 2001. Since the beginning of his musical adventure in his sets he skillfully combines house with techno, electro or breaks. Promoter, co-creator of social campaigns, multimedia installations. Co-founder of the now-defunct association Impulse Of Tunes. For nearly 10 years associated with the Laundry Project where he was a resident, booker, and in recent years also served as a manager. Organizer of events that have hosted, among others: Joris Voorn, Adriatique, Rødhåd, Mind Against, KAS:ST and many others. Since 2015, for 7 years co-founder and member of the Wroclaw agency AFFEKT, with which he parted ways in 2022 to join the homies collective in 2023.

Over the years, his music has been released on labels such as KWAIOTO Records (Japan), Iron Shirt Recordings (New Zealand), and Dirty Beats (RO). Since 2015, he has been actively involved as a promoter - responsible for bringing key artists of today's dubstep scene to Poland; among others, J:Kenzo, Kahn, Leon Switch, Nomine, LSN, N-Type, and Vivek have appeared at Dungeon Beats events. The experiences and contacts gained over the years have allowed for the expansion of the existing activities to include a record label (releasing digitally, on vinyl, and on cassette tapes) and a booking agency - collectively gathering almost 50 artists from Europe, the USA, and Canada.

Penera are two lads from Poland, who treat the boundaries of genres and styles quite freely. Their productions are a hybrid of UK bass and techno sounds, with a strong dose of inspiration from old-school breaks, jungle culture, and the vulgarity of the era during which the clubs were ruled by trance. Penera are strongly associated with P23 Katowice and CEL clubs, they also represent PR1VAT3 D4NC3R rave series. Penera’s tracks have been released by, among others, Hardline, Shall Not Fade and SNC. At the beginning of 2021, they launched their label @potoprecords. In 2023, they created the anthem of the Freedom Parade and the well-received compilation POTOP SWIM CLUB. Their tracks could be heard in sets by such names as VTSS, SPFDJ, Salome, Franck, and Riot Code. Boys have already appeared in France, Czechia, Ukraine, and Ireland. They did performances for HÖR, Boiler Room, and several failed drifts in the back of Lidl.

FKR is a DJ and producer from Gliwice, Poland. He is a co-founder of the @atavizm-collective. He immerses himself in deep bass, organic and trance-like sounds, various tempos, and unconventional rhythms. 

This time, after a month and a half spent on composing, programming instruments and exploring new sounds day by day, he has prepared a Live Act that is almost a 50-minute composition, inspired by the transition of seasons, from winter to early spring. The initial cold of the beginning summons the slowly awakening nature to life. All the sounds of the live act were created using hardware instruments (synthesizers, drum machine, bass guitar), controlled by Ableton.

As a co-founder of the XC.01 project, Flora set himself the goal not only of organizing events, but above all of building a community where music and the atmosphere on the dance floor are crucial, and safety is a priority. Their motto "follow the rhythm" characterizes Flora's approach to music - focusing on rhythm and synchronizing the body with the sounds. wants are Marcin Krupa and Kacper Peresada, who are a million years old together and are terribly tired. They made their debut 10 years ago with the song "Track", which quickly found its way into the mixes of producers associated with Swamp 81. Over the next years, they were associated with British and American labels, releasing songs such as "Solski" and "Spatif". Their songs were played in Essential Mixes from such artists like Mall Grab or Lena Willikens. This year they released their first EP in five years, which was played by both Polish and foreign DJs. Their "north warsaw" is used in KiNK's live set, who creates his own version of their production while playing live. They don't play anywhere because no one books them.

The set is a recording from the @atavizm-collective party in Klub Cel in Katowice on the 23.03.2024. 

"The energy dominating the space that night was somewhat special, feminine and powerful. I played after @vi-official and my set was accompanied by a bewitching visual performance by Avari. Things were just flowing and the set turned out to be a mixture of subtle breakbeats, rumbling kicks, spacious 4 x 4, ritualistic hard drums with just a dash of dubstep and grime. Gościńska - a radical DJ and promoter in love with creating experiences, concept writing and art facilitation. Co-founder of the @sfora_art Festival and part of the @fraktionnimmersatt collective in Berlin.

The ever-evolving music interests and love for rhythmic variety brought Gościńska to delve into “all-things-broken”. Melting moody electro with spacious bass tracks; breakbeat with 4x4 rhythms or smashing a set full of techno, breaks & footwork spiced up with dubstep, DnB, deconstructed and glitched rhythms is what you can expect. Industrial slow-beat, post-club, experimental and ambient music all have a special place in her selection as well.

Working on the program and organization of her brainchild SFORA is what she does when not behind the decks. The festival is an intimate summer event in the lake region of Poland, focusing on electronic music, visual art and engaging workshops; promoting diversity, inclusivity and collaboration. ‘An Unseen Balance Between Light And Darkness‘.

Host of the podcast series ‘Adjust (BE) Invites’, he invited numerous DJ’s and Producers to make a signature guest mixes, with over 130 episodes spreading over 2 years and reaching out to new listeners each month.

In 2023 he started a new and hypnotic/deep-techno-exclusive podcast called ‘Anhera’, which translates to ‘Darkness’ in sanskrit, and with every full moon or solar eclipse, a talented and highly respected DJ/producer creates a unique story.

His style of performing and producing can be described as a perfectly carved out balance between light and darkness, cheerful and melancholic, where he guides you through the various realms of underground techno music, where you’ll find yourself in the most disturbing, hypnotizing and captivating journeys and where there’s no time, no space, but only the low end frequencies, the screeching synths, the confusing percussive elements, which are surrounded by the most beautiful and enchanting ambient soundscapes. He has released on such labels as DORIAN, Khoros, BAHN, The Gods Planet, Initiate, KVLTÖ, Linderluft and Aurora Mística.

And thus the pure reflection of his inner darkness.
