MXM013 - fungi talk 🍄

After competing in the Groovepool Open Aux DJ Contest, my sound was selected out of 42 competing submissions. Hence, I got the opportunity to join the Groovepool X Clique lineup for a day out on the Markermeer, playing on the main deck of the Abel Tasman. 

For this set, I tried to fluctuate my sonic palette between underground minimal groovers and more house-heavy tunes. As I opened the day, I started at 122 BPM, but I stayed true to my preference for dirty drums and rolling beats, resulting in great vibes aboard the authentic ship. As soon as we left the harbor, I opened the master volume and got the dancefloor moving. 

For the next hour, I had an amazing time connecting with the crowd while I also had many of my friends with me enjoying the combination of sunny weather, intimate companionship, and pumping beats.

After warming up the crowd and setting the stage for the day, I handed over the decks to Julian Wijn. He followed up with a great interpretation of house music, and seamless mixes. 

Next Jimi Jua took over. He carried the journey towards heavier slappers, uplifting the energy on the main deck and effortlessly preparing them for the closer of the night. 
 
Sozef ended this day in style. Playing many of his productions, he never disappoints. With a great combination of house bangers and garage-inspired bombs, he absolutely smashed it!

Albanian born brothers Enjo and Jurgen also known as Dajku Twins signed the release number ninety-five of the label. Garage touches on the included 2 original tracks called 'Onda' where also acid vibes can feel it and 'Question' with a powerful bass-line ready to rock the dancefloor. The duo DJ known by the head-honcho u z z v around couple of years ago on a shared album with himself, released on our friend Rini's label Ad Maiora, made 'Onda' EP, the fifth release part of 'Distortion Zebra' era.
