Great singer Richard Marx  Artist biography by James Christopher Monger During his popular peak as a performer in the late 1980s, Richard Marx stood on the line separating the rock album from the modern adult, twisting gilded rockers such as "Don't Mean Nothing" and "Should've Known Better" while topping the charts with the ballads "Hold on to the Nights" and "Right Here Waiting". Marx's hot streak continued in the early 1990s and "Now and Forever" became his last Billboard Top Ten single in 1994, after which the singer / songwriter continued his solo career while pursuing many interesting side projects.
