Happy Women's History Month! Coming in hot today, we are back with our  Soundcloud Sunday series, 'True Colors', where we feature a special curated mix from a new dj each month. Each mix is designed as a way of self expression through sonic storytelling, authenticity and what songs interpret those connected emotions and symbolism. We hope you enjoy!

Introducing Mix 12 by Quinnette:
Quinnette, a native of Louisville, Kentucky understood she could make music a life at the age of 14 by collecting records; her journey began growing up in the south where music was cherished by feeling, & was not conformed to any era or time. She is an audio engineer and editor. Shade 45, Sways Universe, featured a mix of hers. Adept at spinning vinyl and grooving with Serato: there is no limit to genre, as her unique mixes inspire soulfulness all round.

"I chose these songs for this TRU COLORS mix because they're comforting towards moments of transition and growth. There are themes of Faith, Freedom, and Love. Its focus comes from having my eyes opened daily to higher perspective, being present, an inspiration that comes from embracing the "B-sides" of life as a friend had once poetically said to me. There can be a point in  conversation, a bridge of a song that guides you along in a new way never thought before."

Broke That Spell Straight to Hell feels like an invocation disguised as a trap anthem, The beat moves slow and heavy like a ritual drum echoing through a dark cathedral, The bass breathes as if alive, humming with a pulse that feels ancient and wrong in the most perfect way, Anomilus delivers every line like a charm wrapped in poison, his voice calm but charged with menace, The rhythm crawls through smoke and shadow while reversed whispers coil behind the vocals like unseen spirits repeating his words, Each lyric feels like scripture twisted into street poetry, cryptic but commanding, blending divine rebellion with cold precision, The song is less about sound and more about control, pulling the listener deeper with every bar until they cannot tell where the music ends and the trance begins, By the last note the silence feels like it is still watching, and the listener is no longer sure if they broke the spell or became part of it
