Welcome to the second episode of the “My Plain Truth” podcast. We’re going to chat about a promising area of medical research; the use of psychedelics to help heal addiction. Brad Burge from the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) shares the research his organization is conducting with psychedelics. Out of all of the available tools undergoing research, we will be focusing in on Ibogaine, which seems to hold an exceptional degree of promise for helping those in need.

The use of psychedelics in the United States has been labeled an act of rebellion. When in truth, the use of psychedelics in the mainstream of society has been a necessary release of energy. Figures such as Timothy Leary, Aldous Huxley and Alan Watts helped push the use intentional use of psychedelics forward with the message of self-guided discovery. Today, the use of psychedelics has expanded to include a calming of that same spirit of release. We are now seeing millions of people using psychedelics to gather energy in order to heal.
