Written during and about the aftermath of my divorce back in 2008 after two years of grieving and mourning the loss of that relationship.

This track deals with the lies we tell ourselves either while in a relationship of any kind or after a relationship ends and we are dealing with the aftermath.
At some point in our lives, whether its an intimate relationship, or a family one, or even a work/professional relationship. At some point we will start convincing ourselves that everything is fine, that things will be better, that's its not as bad as you think it is.

After a relationship ends, we do the same thing, we convince ourselves that its going to be ok, that it was for the best, or that the other person/people were horrible or flawed or you were done wrong.

All these little lies we often cling to when the emotional ties is strong, the stronger the bind, the stronger the lies and the stronger we cling to them.

How depression can so easily overtake you. The circus of spiralling thoughts, old memories revisit with shame and guilt. Things yet to happen taunt you with anxiety, fear, or worse, hope, that it cruelly snatches away from you before you can grasp at its ghost-like form. The isolation of it, the solitude of me.

My Turning Point - Fix Your Broken Heart

A song that can be misinterpreted as being sung to someone else but its actually being sung to ones self.
Something I have had to manage and struggle with for many years. A desire to not exist due to feeling completely insignificant and worthless.
I say this matter of factly with no hyperbole or desire for 'drama', simply that over the years I have experienced 'dark' periods of thought that I would 'like to leave'.
But these have only ever been passive thoughts in times of depression.
There is always hope in my music that is a reflection of the hope I feel within.
I am still here for a start, and hope allows for that ray of light to shine over the melancholic that I am aware I musically bathe in as I find it the most emotionally rewarding creatively.
I hope this song can give comfort and hope to others to may have experienced the same sensations and feelings and know that you are not alone
