In greek mythology the titan Mnemosyne (Μνημοσύνη) is the personification of memory and mother of the Muses. This new series of archival sonic mixes wants to celebrate Memory, as it covers the most important role in creativity, progress and life itself.
By presenting a different vision of it on each episode, participants will distill memories and ideas that formed their projects, using a variety of audio materials, ranging from finished songs to extracts of performances and jam sessions, to interviews and field recordings, and so on, to create a sonic self portrait.

https://soundcloud.com/placa_fer is a tool to experiment and to connect. Its main intention is to generate a sonic diary, gradually adding layers of information, memories and emotions. 
With an attraction towards storytelling, imperfection and out of control  scenarios, placa's compositions aim to take the listener to concrete places and ephemeral situations with field recordings as its cornerstone. Archiving moments, as if clips were filmed and stored for future reference. 

 "kyo-ka" for Mnemosyne is the sound map of a trip to Japan in late 2019. 

"What was a crucial sound experience in your life?"
When I first listened to my first field recordings with studio headphones I was shocked by the power they had to take me to specific moments and places in life instantly. Even if some years have passed by, they still hold that super power. It is also fascinating how, every time I listen to them, I hear new details and new strong connections are built. The micro macro perception when listening to field recordings has really influenced the way I listen to my everyday context.

MNEMOSYNE #043 - FELDERMELDER

https://soundcloud.com/thisismartenot, pseudonym of Simone Gottardi, is an Italian electronic music composer, based in Turin. His compositions, exclusively computer-based, are founded on a minimal vocabulary and instrumental apparatus and, aiming to exploit the entire musical spectrum, they orbit around a solid sound body, which has as its main source a monophonic synthesizer that he developed in Max/ MSP and gives a precise timbre direction with radical aesthetic constraints. The feature that unites his tracks is the dichotomous alternation of claustrophobic patterns that evoke the rigid molecular structures of plastic materials in contrast to freer and more irregular sections where the musical fabric dissolves and opens up to airy and rarefied scenarios.
Martenot launches his own collective and curatorial project called https://soundcloud.com/neanche-per-sogno-records publishing his debut EP called Sfilate Spaziali in September 2022.

“What was a crucial sound experience in your life?”
The experience that changed me first as a listener and then as a composer was when, studying John Cage during my first class in composition of concrete music at the Conservatory of Trento, I was asked to use poor common objects not traditionally conceived as musical instruments, considering any noise produced as a potential vehicle of musical meaning. The result was awful, but it opened me up to sound in all its facets.

https://soundcloud.com/missing_ear aka Matteo Gualeni, drummer and sound designer based in Milan, he is also part of the AV duo https://soundcloud.com/baransuofficial. " Missing Ear", a key concept in this project, and interpreted by the artist as the awareness of the listener to actively understand the music in its genuine and purest form. In this way, the act of listening becomes an act of protest against the overstimulation displayed in the digital world. Following this principle, our sound perception is at the core of the creative process, working as a processing tool, and turning itself into the very same instrument.
Matteo’s sonic quest straddles futuristic landscapes enclosed in a post-natural aesthetic, where ambient sounds meet noises and break-glitch rhythms. His main influences span from the harsh experimentations of artists like Objekt, Atom, Autechre to the fine drum work of Steve Gadd and the abstract and fluid sounds of Lee Gamble and Boards of Canada.

“What was a crucial sound experience in your life?”
The crucial experience that I'm still hearing every day has an exact name: Tinnitus (in Italiano it's called "Acufene")
I can definitely say that this situation changed my mind... not because I struggle against that (or so and so) but because that begins me really next to some problems that we every day live.
First of all the noise pollution, the inability to listen, and thus also the way listening has changed. I'll speak about this very soon in a paper that I'll release with Mille Plateaux. I hope this has piqued your curiosity.

Alma G. Ferrer ‘Mim’ is a culture curator and music storyteller based in Mexico. https://soundcloud.com/mitaminelab, a contemporary sound archive and curatorial project, is one of her outstanding artistic projects. She also works with cultural and artistic projects doing art production and project management. Mim explores the articulation of networks of exchange, collaboration and hospitality through sound, contemporary music, digital archives and radio;  she’s currently exploring new forms of therapy with ancestral medicine, painting and mixed media.

“What was a crucial sound experience in your life?” 
Being a hypersensitive person has been pretty extreme sometimes, I always get mad and anxious with some sounds —like hearing another person chewing or car klaxons and traffic— so music has been always my comfort zone and shelter. Of course living in a city is kinda complex but I truly enjoy the urban sound experiences related with soundscapes of specific spaces and in general with ‘natural’ sound culture (or aural culture).

The sonic worlds of Sequences are arranged to blur the listener’s perception of the mundane and the surreal. It’s the result of an almost obsessive hunt for analog and acoustic sounds, some captured and recorded during travels all around the world, while others have been crafted through tape experiments with an array of instruments and tools like modular synthesizers, electric guitar, piano, contact microphones and reel-to-reel recorders.

Q: "What was a crucial sound experience in your life?"
A: "As a child I was always browsing through my parents music collection and looking at the artwork and designs of all those records they collected. Instrumental music (soundtracks, ambient music, etc..) had a great impact on my earliest listening experience since they held such rich imaginary power."

FH HF w. Anasisana. Anas Aissaoui is mainly known by the moniker Anasisana. His debut EP was released via Holy Geometry in 2018. Afterwards, he subsequently released his first ambient album on the German label Vaagner. Anasisana's physical releases are accompanied by labels such as Casement Exchange, Perfect Aesthetics, Trust Collective. Adapted from a score his works are known more than an electronical and deeply saturated by susceptibility and plainness.
