In greek mythology the titan Mnemosyne (Μνημοσύνη) is the personification of memory and mother of the Muses. This new series of archival sonic mixes wants to celebrate Memory, as it covers the most important role in creativity, progress and life itself.
By presenting a different vision of it on each episode, participants will distill memories and ideas that formed their projects, using a variety of audio materials, ranging from finished songs to extracts of performances and jam sessions, to interviews and field recordings, and so on, to create a sonic self portrait.

MNEMOSYNE 2024

Kratu (https://soundcloud.com/see-serenadibiase) - the androgynous name of Serena Dibiase - identifies her artistic and sounds productions, mixing experimental vocals, sound art, performing arts, poetry. He carries out her artistic investigation starting from intense physical/respiratory practices and through analogue and not-analogue devices to listen to radical phonic geographies, choral happenings, interventions on biophonies and geophonies extracted from recording sessions in abandoned, wild, industrial spaces, in a horizontal treatment of the sources. Her next EP Nostalgia for the Androgynous - a telluric/ethereal sonic dimension for voices and concrete sounds - will be released by Maga Circe Label, curated by Donato Dozzy in 2024. 
Her latest book of poetry Erbario da bocca, is soon to be published by MC editions

MNEMOSYNE #059 - KRATU

While officiating as a drummer for various Swiss indie bands, https://soundcloud.com/numeral-music-828949040 has developed his own production methods and sound aesthetic throughout the years. In his personal work, sometimes dark atmospheres prevail, sometimes luminous melodies. An inclination to distort, disassemble, modify sounds with great attention to details: this is what gives Numeral's apocalyptic sound its full magnitude. 

This contribution consists of a curation of sound samples that were gathered, processed, and layered to create a continuous one-hour sonic stream. These chosen sounds have been recorded over the past four years at diverse locations in Switzerland and Germany. The samples encompass field recordings, studio and live sessions, blending a variety of electronic and acoustic sources. Together, they weave a sonic narrative of memories, capturing both the sensory experiences of these distinct places and situations, as well as the various emotional states that emerged through a responsive process.

"What was a crucial sound experience in your life?”
Amongst so many experiences that I would describe as "crucial", I remember a strong emotional impression from an early stage of my life. When I was about 5 years old, my mum would take me for long walks and we would usually end up at the local music school, watching and listening to the drumming lessons (from outside the classroom, of course, with my face pressed against the window). If I was lucky, there would be a short break between two lessons where the teacher would invite me in and even let me play the drums for a few minutes. The physical experience of the sound produced by the drums was certainly overwhelming at this age and left a strong emotional mark on me.
