Jazz-o-Tech is a label that draws on the rich heritage of two of the most visionary and experimental genes in music: jazz and techno. Taking inspiration from the freeform creative nature of those two musical worlds, artists on the label mix tradition with modernity, improvisation with experimentation, and create a new sound known as techno-jazz. Modern music needs to be ambitious. It must aim to deliver a musical message which is one step beyond what has already been heard. It must take you on a new musical journey into unknown dimensions and emotions. That is the Jazz-o-Tech mission.

Spinning Grounds w/ @samgoku

It is a satisfying experience when an artist manages to create a modern sound by implementing what makes dance music so dearly appreciated amongst enthusiasts: Blended noises, repetition and some cheeky, unexpected madness. 

Sam Goku does that in his productions - with a sleekstraightforwardness that one would not expect from a rather hypnotic beat. While appearances in some of Europes most established clubs and his eclectic set at the final rendition of Secret Garden Party put him on the map, he has never stopped to refine his skills as a mixer and selector. 

He skilfully plays his way through myriads of subgenres and microcosm in the realm of (leftfield) house, techno and bass music, developing sets that are equally characterized by buoyant ease and yet great depth in the rhythmic, melodic and sonic details.

'Spinning Grounds' by @katharina-davids is all about opening grounds for newcomers to spin their music - to explore genres from house, Detroit, dub techno to break beat.
