Literally years in the making, The Letter EP
brings the enigmatic Jimi After to Throne of
Blood in top form. Building on a series of
releases for likeminded imprints including
Days of Being Wild, Correspondant, and Astro
Lab, Jimi delivers a carefully assembled pair
of jams paired with two exceptional (and
wildly different) remixes from LA mainstay
Daniel T from the Cosmic Kids and Parisian
legend Crackboy.

Kicking things off is the slow-mo stepper “The
Letter,” which pairs an iconic and hopeful
vocal sample with an outsized bassline to
create a monster afterhours groover. For his
remix, Daniel T takes “The Letter” poolside in
Los Angeles, brightening things with joyous
afro-tinged organs and tambourines sure to
set late Summer daytime jams aflame.

Reknowned for his offkilter take on
dancemusic, Crackboy drags “The Letter”
deep into warehouse techno territory,
scrapping the warmth of the original, upping
the tempo and delivering a brilliantly distorted
dancefloor firestarter.

“Wild Billy” rounds out the EP with its
widescreen take on robodisco, equal parts
sex and menace sure to set the vibe right
