My name is Nathan Davila, and this is Mycoverse The Mushroom Podcast. It will serve as a platform for professional scientists and enthusiasts alike to converse and share their ideas, findings, and personal interests in and around the field of  mycology

Personally, I have experienced and witnessed others benefit positively from the use of mushrooms. These experiences have created a deep, profound passion for the topic of mycology. I believe that since we, humans, have an ancestral connection with fungi (given that we evolved from them over 500 million years ago) it makes sense that mushrooms would have a positive effect on our health... but this is my belief, and I got here by listening to professional mycologists lecture on the topic. I find myself wanting to know more, and to be involved in the ever growing expansion of research that needs to be worked in this field.
