From Another Mind first started as a South German party series but soon evolved into a fully fledged label run by SHDW & Obscure Shape. Now it operates as a label and for the fourth release, they've invited a high-profile techno squadron to remix some of their tracks.

Artists like Rødhåd, Dax J, Konstantin Sibold and Ryan James Ford have all offered up their own high-octane and emotive re-imaginings of the duo's tracks but today we feature Tale of Us & Mind Against's edit.

Their remix of 'Die Weiße Rose' is a piledriving techno behemoth, one suited for dark, dank warehouses. Its synths zap across the forefront while venomous kicks thump away in the background.

It's the sort of demonic, mutant-energy track we've come to expect from both sets of producers and we're fairly certain it's going to explode. Check it out exclusively below.

Premiere: SHDW & Obscure Shape 'Die Weiße Rose' (Tale of Us & Mind Against Version)

The one to kick off our new imprint will be the Bulgarian hardware wizard KiNK. Best known for his live performances, teemed with explosive energy, which for a consecutive year puts him to the number one spot of live acts on RA Poll, he is also one of house’s most in demand producers. KiNK has worked with DGTL for quite some time, including last year’s audiovisual installation ‘Transmission Tower’, where the first track ‘Neutrino’ was born. 

The melodic 'Neutrino', kicks off with syncopating bassline. Its interconnecting layers organically jump over and under each other, reflecting the organic character of KiNK’s live performances, where every knob touch and turn matters. On the latter, he built the B-sider 'Dynamo': "I loaded my favourite element from Neutrino in my computer and I tweaked the sound through various weird devices in my studio, till it sounded like a completely new track." As usual, he added a few endless loops on the record, "for the adventurous DJs", exclusively for the 12''.

Techno meets Tech House in Transcode and Fideles’ latest work, a split release that sees each act put forth three original tracks packed with dancefloor heat.

UK forerunner Transcode initiates the journey with Magnetic Empathy, an attractive slice of subtle weaved Techno tension. Complementing its subdued nuance is Flutter, which unravels an array of arpeggiated strings, building up a slow paced yet a highly strained chunk of Tech House goodness. The most aggressive piece of Transcode’s triptych, Supremacy summons a dark and cavernous ambiance. A white noise dotted intro launches into a highly strung and progressively riveting Techno burner.

On the flipside, Innervisions alum Fideles channel their multi-layer productive chops kicking off with L’Alba. The main focal element is an ascending cluster of whirl winding synths. Tyred exposes a restrained bassline that stays constant throughout the track. What inspires is the sparkling melody crafted out of varying layers of bells and chimes.

Soft percussion announces Wired Mind, while swarms of dainty synths make up the melody. The track's uplifting riff creates an introspective mood, a fitting finale for an EP filled with club weapons.

Picking up right where EP #1 left off, EP #2 kicks things off with a bang. First up is Catz ’N Dogz and Yotam Avni's for ‘Blakkat’; a high pace burner ideally suited for dance floors from Panoramabar to under the LED’s of Watergate and every club in-between. 

The duo return with the 'Bright Mix’ of ‘Afterglow’ for the second cut on EP 2 and aptly titled, it pushes an intense, glitter filled ride to it’s limits. 

Embarking onto the B-side, 'O.A.Peas’ from heavy hitter Eats Everything & Lord Leopard take a trip down memory lane with a heavily sample based feel good tune that will absolutely demolish dance floors worldwide. 

Rounding out the EP is a final collaboration between Catz ’N Dogz and Reno Wurzbacher with ‘To Ma People’ and it’s by far the smoothest and most laid back tune of the bundle, but never does it let you rest as a mesmerizing groove and lush atmospherics tell a deep, complex tale of late nights and early mornings.

We have recruited some of our favourite producers to remix some of Eric Sneo’s “Sound Traveler” album tracks. Lee Van Dowski, Ron Costa, and 2pole (with 2 remixes) delivered their interpretations of some of the main songs of Eric’s album. Mr. Sneo also included a more clubby version of his ‘Circus’ track.

Steyoyoke’s Family Affair series returns to mark its 6th release to date. The second half of this double release features remixes by Steyoyoke core producers Soul Button, Dahu and Nick Devon.
 
Dahu’s startling opener packs a tremendous punch. His rendition of Nick Devon’s ‘Devotion’ features a pulsating landscape of submerged arps and distorted bass controlled by a brutally efficient groove.
 
Nick Devon returns the favour by applying his talents to Dahu’s ‘Never’. A hectic smattering of percussions and toms set the scene for this aesthetic piece of throbbing techno as ethereal synths weave in and out taking the listener on a spectral journey through Neverland.

Soul Button delivers his second contribution to Family Affair 6 with his Aurora Remix for Clawz SG’s ‘Solace’. An inventive groove full of tambourines and shakers merges with blissful melodies providing a soothing contrast within the EP.
 
Finally, Nick Devon offers one for the soul in his Ambient Remix of Dahu’s ‘Never’. Building on the soul touching keys of the original, Nick Devon elevates the track to astral heights, displaying the more remote corners of his stunning auditory spectrum.
 
Steyoyoke’s 6th edition of the Family Affair project is a jack of all trades, boasting melodic soundscapes and explosive floor fillers alike.

Release Info: 
‘Blazer’ is the twenty-third release of Aftertech Records and the second release on the label for the talented Matt Dwellers. He is the first on the label to release a second EP with us. In order to celebrate this occasion, we invited the great remixers Bessiff and Nick Devon to do their magic. The minimalistic and deep sound of Matt combined with Bessiff’s hypnotic vibes and the power of Nick Devon, this has become a very diverse EP in which everyone can find something they like for sure!

Matt Dwellers shows his immense talent once again with the title track Blazer. Right from the start, he manages to get you in a wonderful trance. Quickly a vocal arises which only strengthens this vibe. Once the smooth bassline comes in the dream is complete. Halfway he plays with a light waving pluck which drifts along with the beat. All together this track has such a unique vibe that it is hard to be captured in words and just has to be heard.

In Mirage he shows the more spacy side of his music. As is his signature sound, Matt has cleverly placed percs and uplifting special effects. A strong and mesmerizing bassline lays the groundwork for upbeat shakers and airy synths. This is a track in which you will lose yourself completely from beginning to end. A must listen!

The first remix on this EP is by Bessiff. He reworked Blazer into something more powerful. A growling bassline works in perfect harmony with a hypnotizing arpeggio which leads to a wonderful build up. In the breakdown everything is slowly taken away to make room for a light and soft synth. And then suddenly, in one explosion everything comes back together. A remix very well done!

Nick Devon did things totally different and turned Blazer upside down. This track tells a story in several chapters. It starts out with an ominous arpeggio backed up with all kinds of small clashes and percs. This leads to a strong beat and an echoing melody growing more and more in power up until the break comes in. When it is almost quiet he introduces an even stronger melody to bring it all back with one last bang!

A wonderful EP by even greater artists. This is a must have for sure!
