It is a great honor to introduce this special musical project set to the powerful and beautiful poetry of the extraordinary Nobel Prize-winning Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral. This work was made possible with the kind permission of the Gabriela Mistral Foundation.
I want to give special thanks to the remarkable soprano Maribel Villarroél, whose stunning voice gave life and soul to each piece. Her deeply personal interpretation and awe-inspiring vocals brought authenticity and passion to this music. I am equally grateful to the brilliant pianist and arranger René Calderón, whose sensitivity and artistry are infused into each song. Their talent, dedication, and collaborative spirit have taken this project to levels I could only dream of as a composer.
Gabriela Mistral’s poems speak to the heart with timeless emotion, strength, and depth. Creating music for her words was both a challenge and a privilege, an emotional journey that led us to deep connections with her legacy and message.
The visual side of this release is also something I’m excited to share. The album cover was created by the outstanding Chilean artist Giovanni Gellona, whose artwork beautifully reflects the emotion and atmosphere of the music and Mistral’s poetry, and projects both her dignity and lovingness.
This album is not just a musical interpretation; it is a tribute to Chilean culture, poetry, and artistic collaboration. I hope listeners around the world can feel the love, effort, and respect behind every note.
I invite you to experience Gabriela Mistral’s poetry through this musical lens and share it with others who might be moved by it.

Now I don't personally believe I'm in the same league as #Bowie, other than my lyrics, more often than not, making more sense, but I do think I share his ability to adapt to different genres, and his endless, diverse, creativity, just not quite on the same level.

I'm not proficient/accomplished on instruments, & I have other musical limitations, but most genres come natural to me, and I much prefer having that unforced ability to being highly accomplished on instruments, highly polished on production, or having the perfect voice!

If I didn't feel I had my own approach, if my music was easy to pigeonhole, I would have quit music a long time ago!
Never been about fame & fortune, just about pushing the boundaries without actually intending to push the boundaries; creativity that's second nature not formula! 
Yes, I want to reach an audience but making money from my music means nothing to me!

My music wouldn't be considered #RadioFriendly to anyone except a DJ like John Peel, and he's dead, my chances of exposure dying with him!

There should always be a place for UNDERGROUND MUSIC, I don't mean what people now mistakenly THINK is UNDERGROUND, I mean the REAL THING!
