After a slightly longer break, Niconé & Sascha Braemer are finally back on Stil vor Talent. Their ‚Stay feat. Limon’ EP instantly showcases that the wait has been worth it though. On the title track, the trio creates a fusion of romantic synth leads, sensuous vocals and areal strings. ‘Tell Me’, also featuring Limon, is no less epic, but aims straight for the peak time with the help of driving chords and a healthy dose of bass. Next to the two hot originals, the Spaniard Henry Saiz delivers a remix reminiscent of The Human League. A creaking bass-line, crystalline synths and a distant vox catapult you straight to the 80s. ‘Coming Home’ is the another fine original from R. Fentz, an absorbing and cavernous deep house track. Smeared pads add color to rolling rubber drums and make for something soft and supple, cuddly and inviting.

Remixing this one is Gab Rhome, a mysterious talent but one who has worked with labels like Get Physical, Last Night on Earth and All Day I Dream. He opens up space for the groove to really breathe and flow. The brightest vibe of the lot, this one evokes sunny skies, the pleasant triumph of homecoming after a journey well-traveled.

Alessandro Diga, a young talented dutch artist, delivers 3 solid techno tracks for the fifth release on the BergWacht record label. “Phaedra” starts with a great bassline and goes into a warm melodic techno track with a lot of emotions, dreamy synths and it goes along with a clear hihat. The track is able to be dreamy and not cheesy at the same time. “Sonora” is grounded on a rolling bassline and clear hi-hats as well, it goes over in nice effects with outstanding breaks, but it finds back to the starting rhythms. “Dahlia” the hidden B-2 track transmits a deep journey with melancholic feelings.

My Favorite Robot is the duo of Jared Simms, and

Voytek Korab, two Canadian DJ/producers who in a

space of a few short years have become a central part

of the global electronic music scene.

Simms &amp; Korab originally formed the My Favorite

Robot act in Montreal back in 2002 and the label in

2008, shortly after Jared’s move to Toronto from

Montreal. At the same time, the duo hooked up with

the No19 Music crew and a new chapter in Canadian

music history was born. Whilst their good friends at

No.19 went on to form the massively successful Art

Department, the boys at MFR worked alongside them

building their own label into a global beacon for

quality electronic music.

My Favorite Robot Records has received huge

critical acclaim and has released music from the likes

of Tim Paris, Jori Hulkkonen, Chloe, H.O.S.H,

Kenny Glasgow, Fairmont, Timo Mass, Adriatique

and Tim Green to name but a few.
