On Sunday 13th April 2014, Cafe' Del Mar, Malta launched the Sunday Sessions. This is a live recording of the first 2 and a half hours from Mykill's 5 hour set. It’s time again for Killer Boogie to grace the @myhouseradio.fm airwaves with show number 10 of De Gama’s musical tour-de-force. 
 
This week, we’ve spruced up the Floral Banqueting VIP Room here in BLD Towers with an autumnal feel especially for De Gama’s arrival. From his perch up on the gantry, De Gama will be kicking things off for the first hour with a journey through the looking glass and delving into some of his favourite jazz / afro / funk from the past. Tracks featured include gems from the likes of Jimmy McGriff, Third World, Roy Ayres, George Duke and Manu Dibango to name but a few. Promises to be another classic! 

De Gama’s special guest this month is Italian DJ/producer Sourires (aka Andrea Antognoloni). As well as a recent appearance on Samosa Records, Sourires has also  seen releases on Internasjonal and Saint Wax and Miss Music. In his record box tonight are tracks from Wallace, Gledd, Donnell Pitman and a few ‘unreleased’ productions of his own.

Killer Boogie  #10 with De GAMA Ft Sourires

For the last few episodes the tempo has been upbeat and ready for the dance floor but, once again, it was time to slow things down a bit with a new Yacht set. This new 'Space Yacht' mix is taking us above to the stars and the nebulas. We are in a retro starship where we will hear trippy spaced out mid-tempo versions of tracks we recognize from the past. 

The tracks might sound familiar but I can almost guarantee you haven't heard these new edits and interpretations.  Put your space suit on and join us on the maiden voyage of the SPACE YACHT.

For the past 20 years Mykill has established himself as one of Malta’s top djs, with residencies at the biggest venues like: Café del Mar, Gianpula, Isle of MTV festival and all major national and international events by Pacha, G7, Malta Tourism Authority, ADE, Sunglasses at Night and Whysoserious.

On an International level his adventures behind the decks have taken him to play world wide events exporting his unique dj sets with Internationally renowned clubbing franchises such as Pacha, Buddha bar, MTV, Amsterdam Dance Event and Ministry of Sound in: Ibiza, Dubai, Caribbean Island of St Martin, Qatar, Austria, Amsterdam, Prague, Czech Republic, London, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia and Cyprus to name a few.

Mykill started his musical stint as a guitarist and front man in a punk band in the 90s, eventually swapping his electric guitar for a pair of turntables and a mixer. Working hard and putting in the years to finally establishing his name as an original Dj, show man and crowd pleaser.  

 

Mykill is a party Dj, when he takes over the Dj stand the dance floor ignites immediately, as he delivers track after track, never taking safe bets, but simply interacting with his crowd no matter what capacity the club holds, like a friend would put tunes you love at your private house party. Having a musical background Mykill loves teaming up with musicians in his set, with carefully rehearsed impromptu solos on top of his mixes accompanied by live musicians. One of his most popular side projects is Mykill & Brass as he performs with live trumpet, saxophone and percussions.

With almost 20 years full time experience as a dj he can adapt to the crowd in front of him and is very at home playing: House, Big room, chill out, Lounge, Rnb and Retro music.
