1. إرحَمني يا اللهُ كَعَظيمِ رَحمَتِكَ، وَكَمِثلِ كَثرَةِ رَأفَتِكَ امحُ مَآثِمي.	
2. إغسِلني كَثيرًا مِن إثمي، وَمِن خَطيئَتي طَهِّرني.
3. لأَنِّي أَنا عارِفٌ بِإثمي، وَخَطيئَتي أَمامي في كُلِّ حِين.	
4. إلَيكَ وَحدَكَ خَطِئتُ، والشَّرَّ قُدَّامَكَ صَنَعتُ، لِكَي تَتَبَرَّرَ في أَقوالِكَ، وَتَتَغلَّبَ في مُحاكَمَتِك.	
5. هاءَنَذا بِالآثامِ حُبِلَ بي، وَبِالخَطايا وَلَدَتني أُمِّي.	
6. ها إنَّكَ أَحبَبتَ الحَقَّ، وَأَوضَحتَ لي غَوامِضَ حِكمَتِكَ وَمَستوراتِها.	
7. تَنضِحُني بِالزُّوفى فَأَطهُرُ، تَغسِلُني فَأَبيَضُّ أَكثَرَ مِنَ الثّلج.	
8. تُسمِعُني بَهجَةً وَسُرورًا، فَتَجذَلُ عِظامي الذَّليلَةُ.	
9. إصرِف وَجهَــكَ عَن خَطايايَ، وامحُ كُلَّ مَآثِمي.	
10. قَلباً نَقيًّا اخلُق فِيَّ يا الله، وَروحًا مُستَقيمًا جَدِّد في أَحشائي.	
11. لا تَطرَحني مِن أَمامِ وَجهِكَ، وَرُوحَكَ القُدّوسَ لا تَنزِعهُ مِنِّي.	
12. إمنَحني بَهجَةَ خَلاصِكَ، وَبِروحٍ رِئاسِيٍّ اعضُدني.	
13. فَأُعَلِّمَ الأَثَمَةَ طُرُقَكَ، والكَفَرَةُ إلَيكَ يَرجِعون.	
14. أَنقِذني مِنَ الدِّماءِ يا اللهُ إلَهَ خَلاصي، فَيَبتَهِجَ لِسانِي بِعَدلِك.	
15. يا رَبُّ افتَح شَفَتَيَّ، فَيَتَرَنَّمَ فَمي بِتَسبِحَتِك.	
16. لأَنَّكَ لَو آثَرتَ الذَّبِيحَةِ لَكُنتُ الآنَ أُعطي، لَكِنَّكَ لا تُسَرُّ بِالمُحرَقات.	
17. فالذَّبِيحَةُ للهِ رُوحٌ مُنسَحِقٌ، القَلبُ المُتَخَشِّعُ والمُتَواضِعُ لا يَرذُلُهُ الله.	
18. أَنعِم يا رَبُّ في رِضاكَ عَلى صِهيُونَ، وَابنِ أَسوارَ أُورَشَلِيم.	
19. حِينَئِذٍ تُسَرُّ بِذَبيحَةِ البِرِّ والقُربانِ والمُحرَقاتِ، حِينَئِذٍ يُقَرِّبونَ عَلى مَذبَحِكَ العجول

Cappella Romana Media combines passion with scholarship in its exploration of early and contemporary music of the Christian East and West.

Featuring classical chants in Greek primarily by Petros Peloponnesios (1730–1778). Adaptations into Arabic primarily by Mitri El Murr (1880–1969) and those into English by John Michael Boyer (b. 1978) closely echo the originals in form, style, and grace.

This debut release by PRÓTO presents traditional chants for the Byzantine celebration of Christmas, including selections from The Royal Hours, Vespers, Matins, and the Divine Liturgy. A deluxe 32-page booklet is included with full texts in Greek, Arabic, and English.

PRÓTO is a collaboration of two protopsaltes (“first cantors”): John Michael Boyer, Protopsaltis of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco; and the Reverend Deacon John Rassem El Massih, Protopsaltis of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Teir shared vision is excellence in traditional Byzantine Music as well as the advancement, development, and composition of traditional Byzantine Music in the English language.

Concert of Syro-Byzantine Liturgical Music by the Choir of St. Romanos the Melodist of the Archdiocese of Beirut with a special guest appearance by the Archdiocesan Byzantine Choir  of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
