None of the songs I write originate from a single inspiration or flow. They all come from far, they were born, created from many different roots and inspirations, and developed under the current circumstances. This is also how ‘The Journey’ became.

A melody recorded on the street, a chorus which came intuitively (and which brought another song with it), and for the lyrics the inspirations were brought from poems and life that was happening around me at the time.

Recording and editing this goodbye, wishing & blessing song has been tremendous fun. It has been such a hard and long writing journey, and such a natural and instinctive recording. Every musician understood what I was needing, every single instrument perfectly fit into the song. Every single idea seemed to be tailored for ‘The Journey’.
