The main riff for this song was written a decade ago, everything else: this summer. 
I walked down to the pool one day and joined two of my neighbors in a conversation about ghosting, and why people do it. 
As we recounted ours or friends stories, at one point I either said, or thought “sorry for ghosting you would be a cool name for a song”. So, I wrote a song about one situation in my life where I ghosted someone, because… obviously. 
My ego isn’t as inflated as the protagonist/narrator/POV(?) any more, but it’s deeeefinitely based on a past version of myself.

A song about changing your life when you’ve outgrown your surroundings: The words reflect the idealism of leaving your outgrown roots at home for the unknown and uncertainties of the future, while knowing that the path ahead is paved by owning ones choices in/responses to life (and trying to make the best ones). I gift this song to my sister-in-law, Jessica, because she liked it when it was unfinished when I was younger, and I don’t talk to her enough. Thank you for being such a good human. Krista says hi.
